DiscoHere
Where is the sender unit on the outside of the vehicle please and is it possible to replace it? Hugh
rrr47
I am not sure with a Discovery, but on a BMW I worked on the outside temperature sensor was behind the front grill and I have seen the sensors in wing mirrors. My outside temperature sensor is located on the 'B' post attached to the rear door hinge on my R/R Classic, but it's a "Lidl" £2.99 item, with DIY fit. IanS
It's behind the radiator grille.
teabag
According to RAVE: "Ambient temperature sensor. The ambient temperature sensor is an encapsulated thermistor that provides the ATC ECU with an input of external air temperature. The sensor is attached to the cooling fan mounting bracket in front of the condenser." And there's a plug/socket shown so yes its replaceable.
