Tom17 Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 hi all i have a 1984 90 that has had a 200tdi fitted ordered a 200tdi exhaust and it looks nothing like what i took off any ideas on what pipe it will be that i have? hoping its not something that has been bodged up but if this is the case what is the best thing to do now ? Maverik Posted August 20, 2015 Share Posted August 20, 2015 As you can maybe appreciate there are quite a few models of exhausts that where fitted to Land Rovers and what you'll also find is that quite a few will fit them too... I'm guessing that parts of the orginal normally aspirated system where kept on when the engine was changed, in which case a genuine 200tdi one would look quite different. Photos would help identify. Mo Murphy Posted August 20, 2015 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Is it a Discovery 200 fitted ? If so, you'll need to cobble something together although you can buy a conversion downpipe. If it's a defender 200 fitted, then a half decent standard exhaust system will fit though I'd suggest avoiding the ones in a blue box as I know from experience how well the downpipes fit.
