mcc1979ian
Evening gents. This is probably been asked many times before but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Iv bought a RRC efi pump to run my 4.6 in my 90, I have a standard 2 hole side mounted tank but I'm unsure how much I need to extend the pump by to reach the bottom. Would anyone have pics and dimensions to hand or a link to the info I need please.
Bowie69
Just drop a 600mm steel rule in the tank?
mcc1979ian
Does the pump touch the bottom of the tank when in use? Or should i keep it slightly shorter?
Bowie69
5mm shorter will be fine
steve200TDi
That's what I did. Just shy of the bottom of the tank. Here's my build thread here: http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=87607&p=754164 It may have some useful pictures for you. Oh and remember when you extend it, you'll probably be needing a longer bit of fuel hose. Remember it has to be fuel hose that's fuel resistant of the inside as well as the outside!
