bnamunds
I'm setting the dynamic timing on my 1988 2.5L petrol but am getting conflicting advice as to whether I need to disconnect the vacuum advance when setting the timing? Should I disconnect the vacuum advance when setting the dynamic timing or leave it connected?

Bowie69
Yes, disconnect when setting timing -pretty much true for all vehicles in my experience.
