reb78
Inspired initially by this thread: http://forum.landrovernet.com/showthread.php/241142-Defender-Headliner-Refurb! and then the materials in this one: http://forum.landrovernet.com/showthread.php/253555-Headlining/page2 i decided to refurb my headlining. Whilst it was off, i did the body cappings and then got on with the headlining.... firstly, i used these soundproofing pads on the bare roof: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370416755133?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649&clk_rvr_id=680969535402&afsrc=1 then, i covered it with camping mats that i bought for a couple of pounds in B&Q a couple of years ago: I didnt take pics of the headlining as i covered it, but i removed the old saggy foam backed liner and brushed the headliner board clean. I then covered it with this stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321196451946?var=510153594971&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649&clk_rvr_id=680972527084&afsrc=1 Its quite a stretchy fabric, so gets into the contours of the headlining well. Pics of it off of the vehicle would be the same as northmalverns in post 24 here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321196451946?var=510153594971&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649&clk_rvr_id=680972527084&afsrc=1 I then added a couple more of the original lights to the headlining and put it all back up. I'm fairly pleased with the finish and it makes the cab a more pleasant place to be!

Steve Marquis
Newb question, what are body cappings?
Retroanaconda
They are the steel pieces that bolt to the top of the tub, the upper body side panels attach to them.
