The big problem here is getting the axle into a convenient and safe package for shipping.
I use Mike Beer Transport ask for their pallet services, a single pallet on economy rate (2/3 days) from one end of the UK to the other is around £40+VAT.
For the more unusual items, I use http://www.loadup.co.uk/ Here you say what you have to load and from where to where , and interested haulage companies will ship it for you.
You might need to drain it of oil first and make it so there are no sharp opjects/hazards sticking out. The price above was for a single pallet, I think you need a double pallet, the weight is not too much of a problem as they tail lift it on.
Im in Kent if you need any help with loading/despatch (my 110's SORN at the mo so not able to collect).

I have now got the seats in, and decided that a new set of mats to celebrate was called for!
I just need to make quality frame to acept the centre seatbelt, then refit the full height dog guard and we are looking good !

I think it would more scientific to start with fishnets and work down the scale to get a balanced view of things, admitadly the larger gauge of the fishnets would only stop the scarily large midges, but I for one would volunteer to help remove them for testing ....

These are quite small crosshead screws, as per WD40 (try from underneath) and then give the heads a good clean with a small pointy braddall or similar. If there is no crud left in then I think you stand the best chance of getting the cross point bit in as far as possible.
If the head is nadgered, I would get a very fine [thin] metal grinding disk and cut a slot into the head to use a decent flat headed driver.
I managed to bag a full set of these from Ebay a while back, you can get an adjustable spanner on to give you extra torque..
Failing that if they still dont come off and you cannot get in to grind them off, Id try ripping the plastic 'carpet' away to let you get a mole grip onto the head..

OK here are a few photos this morning..
This is them installed, I forgot to say earlier that the LR seats are hinged at the front, and on a catch at the side (well the 2002 MY on were) this meant that they would not tip forward. I have removed these catches to give more room and get rid of any sharp edges.
These seats cannot do that, [attach to the sides] so I have beefed up the outer supports with M8 bolts and steel backing strips in the wheel arches, and will bolt the two outer seats to each support and also to the centre seat. The centre seat will have a metal strap/U bolt into the floor which will also have a steel backing plate this will stop the seats tipping forward.
Once they are all in place Im going to get a bracket/ bar fabricated that goes across the back of the seats (bolted in place where the old load area bench seat belts were) this should allow the centre seat to have a 3 point belt.
My aim is to make the seats and fittings more secure than the factory fit versions so Ill have no probs about my or others kids going in there.
I will be using original seat belt fittings for outer seats, and might even see about getting SVA for centre seat (ill call in to local test centre for advice).
IMHO the Scenic 2nd row outer seats would fit into the space for front Defender seats with suitable frame, however they are a little narrow in the 'seat' for my bum !

After replacing my ball joint I had same problem, and I have used aircraft locking wire (stainless wire) to wrap around and then secure. Its not perfect but grips the bellows firmly against the drop arm.

I have bought some scenic seats to do as you have done in the back of a 110, any chance of a few pics as to how you have fixed them underneath, or have you used the excisting scenic seat clamps which clip on to tubeing, ie like they fitted in scenics.
Ill take a couple of snaps tomorrow if I can, they are now bolted in. Basically remove the two quick release 'plungers' at the back of the seat (two large silver rivets) and also remove the cross brace at the front which is spotwelded onto the frame.
Pull the seat frame as far forward as you can get, and then a bit more, you will feel underneath where the front brace was removed, there are two holes, note their position and drill the hole all the way through.
You can use the newly drilled holes and two of the rivet holes from the back to line up the frame and drill 4x 8mm holes.
Cut off the seat frame brackets so just leave a pad.
Bolt the seat frames to the seats...
Easier when I show you photos.

I dont have the 90 in the picture anymore, but do have the cleats somewhere in my garage !
As you can see there were six cleats on the sloping section of the roof and none elswhere

neither of my insurance policies have *vehicle must be insured by someone else la de da de da" or anything like that. It just means that you cannot leave the vehicle unattended in a public place, because as soon as you leave the drivers seat it is no longer insured.
Not that it matters, but the actual offence is
"It is an offence for any person to use or cause or permit any other person to use, a motor vehicle on a road or other public place, unless there is in force in relation to the use of the vehicle by that person, or that other person, a policy of insurance or security in respect of third party risks"

I had Southdown 4x4 detachable jobby on my ex mil 90... Gave excellent ground clearance and protection, and perfect height when towing and left NATO hitch on.
Would definately be worth a look !

I make up soundproofing and mats and am getting a lot of demand for rear load mats as per the ones I supply for Defenders.
I could either pay £40.00, or give a 50% discount (worth £55.00) on a complete mat system for the rear of your motor.
If your able to come to Sandwich (near Dover) and could leave your motor with me for a few hours whilst I measure and make mats for it then PM me to organise a time.

How about getting a proper child seat http://www.britax.co.uk/car-seats/adventure/ this one is for age up to 12, and 35kg, then use the seatbelt to hold the kids into the seat.
If you want to you could secure the kids seats to the main seats (ratchets ?) or graft some seats in that have isofix (I have just put 3x Renault Scenic second row seats in to my 110 and they have Isofix).
Or you could get the kids seats and use a harness to fit around the seat (many have holes at the top and sides for left or right hand fitting).
I would replace the existing seat belt anchor bolts with ones with a eye on them on them and get your harness that has clips onto the rings and you can remove the harness as required.
This way you are remaining legal, as safe as you can, and will be able to get the kids out easily/stop them from getting out, whats more as your still using standard fittings and proper car seats, you can travel to and from the events without having insurance worries.
Also get some padding for the harenesses.
Finally, once you have done this, consider getting a second opinion on your work from a qualified MOT tester type person... Not sure you get a second chance with safety...

Wht age/height are the kids ?
If they are under 135cm then I believe that they should have approved child seat/boosters etc ?
What is in there at the moment ?
Or are you looking for off road only ?

Dont want to jump on the I hate Machine Mart bandwagon, but I swore NEVER to buy anything from them EVER again due to very poor product finish and workmanship, and after spending £700 on metal cupboards that had problems, their customer service was extremely poor.

I think the testing station has to be reasonably local, even if the DVLA haven't told you that. If you book it in for a test that is 170 miles away and you get caught, I seriously don't think that the police are going to accept that you are acting lawfully and that what you are doing is genuine.

This would be subject to something called the 'reasonable man' test, so if a reasonable man would epect to book and MOT 170 miles away then the police would support your defence. In this case I think a 'reasonable man' would not think it 'reasonable' to drive this distance.
Also if its an MOT failure with advisories and you have not attempted to rectify the faults you might get your vehicle immeidately prohibited from the road and points + prizes on your licence.
Im down south at the mo, but by the time you consider fuel costs and trailer hire, you might be cheaper to get it welded down here... I do know of a good mobile mechanic.
