Hi folks
Having nearly drowned my 110 on Saturday I think it's time for a snorkel.
I've king cabed it and I'm wondering about the feasibility of running it up the rear of the cab (drivers side as the exhaust runs up the passengers).
It's bound to have been done before (what hasn't), so the questions are:
Has anybody got any pictures?
How would you route it?
Will such a long length of draw / travel of air be a problem?
Thanks.
The military fitted leather gaiters for a while, my 110 still had them on when I got it.
As long as they're sealed they seem to be fine, but if they get any holes then they'll just hold the dirty / water etc.
Personally I wouldn't bother, at least without you can keep an eye on the swivels condition.
Just a quick question are the diff's the same ratio on the front on a '85 110 and a '94 300tdi disco?
The 110's diff is making nasty noises and I've got a dead disco sat in the yard. Just wondering if I can get away with swapping the axles over?
Thanks
Pete
And the trailer can't exceed a 750kg rating and unbraked. (think you can go up to 4 1/4 tons train weight i.e 3 1/2 ton truck with 750kg trailer on the back but that is the extreme and not 100% on that)
A post 97 licence is very annoying.
I've just very cleverly managed to smash a few teeth off my front diff.
The trucks a '85 110
The question is are the ratios different on these to a disco 1?
i.e Can I just put a replacement axle on the front or will I have to either get the diff fixed or change both axles?
Cheers
You did add 2 stroke didn't you?
once ran out in a pug 205 about 2 miles from home, pushed it a little way then managed to free wheel it to the yard, found a few litres of cherry then drove off to the nearest petrol station to fill it up (and dilute the red), where I bumping into a couple who's also run out but had had to walk 3 miles. Seemed only fair to give them a lift back to their car.
Hi guys,
I've got a B ('85) plate 110 2.5 n/a
Been offered a 200tdi out of a disco for a conversion.
I've done a few searches on the subject and keep coming up with 2.5td to 200 conversions.
The questions is is there any difference in in the conversion between the n/a and td engines?
Sorry if it's a daft question, just want to be sure before I start ripping engines out.
Thanks.
If you do go down the formal route you'd only need to have it checked every 12 months not 6.
6 month checks are for personal climbing equipment i.e harness and ropes - tree surgery or rope access sort of thing.
