  1. rear and yes you can quite easily bring it up to pull from the side as well.
  2. oh now you lot are just getting petty.
  3. I wrote this with kids in my ear and suddenly realising I was late for work and I don't think my eye's were really open. lesson don't check lr4x4 before giong to work and think that you can comment. it just goes wrong
  4. saleys winch is engine driven not pto so drive assist is all possible. Plus due to alot of time and calculations it goes at the same speed as the winch. a very well put together winch with fernominal power.
  5. think the problem is that they can't interpret what the blue book say's so they just do what they like. It would be nice if you had a blue book for each type of event rather than 1 bloody great big one that you can't see the wood for the tree's in. Or even a glossery wich says for challenge your vehicle must conform to parts k..... and so on.
  6. freespool wins that i'm sure about. the time gained is at least a min each time you get your winch out if not longer.
  7. you got the cash speak to saley. still cheaper than a pair of decked out gp's
  8. question is how much does he have to spend? Who's events is he entering? is he doing this because he wants to see what it's like or is he already committed and wants to try hard to win?
  9. do they still class as dumper tyres?
  10. flee bay. come from macc area ears motorsport
  11. the problem with only kiling the control cuircuits to your winches is when the solinoids decided to weld them selves in the live position. if this happens and the person pulling the switch is out side your motor will stop and your winch carry on. hence why when you kill the main feed iin my motor it isolates the batteries completly
  12. I've got the big metal breckers. I run one for the earth complete for the whole vehicle (now i'm running bigger motors need to double this up) and isolate the positive power to the winches. So when you kill one switch it isolates the whole vehicle. I wouldn't bother with the red plastic ones there cheap and chearful, and like boothy says when you add up all the electrics our trucks run you'll probably find they just arn't up to the job anyway
  13. as far as i'm aware the pulled kill switch must kill All electrics engine and winch
  14. have to be able to isolate from out side the vehicle and have it cut ALL electrics Make sure your isolators are upto the job
