  1. as an option if you are that tight on space why not take the compressor anfd motor of, mpount it up high in your workshop and put the tak etc outside with a pipe feed to it and from it.

plasmas are pretty air hungry once you start on the thick stuf!!

  2. Dewalt 18V for me too. Handy because the batteries also fit the other Dewalt tools (Drill etc)

i know exactly what you mean, i bought the dewalt for that exact reason take one kit box and as many tools as you need, with these things i would say you only get what you pay for, dewalt says it all, fast charge makes up for somethign, i reckon mine will take of and put back on about 20 wheels before the battery fails! by which time the other battery should have charged unless youre super fit and can do more than 5 sets in an hour!!!

  3. Dear All,

Please note that nothing is yet set as we are still in the investigative stage of:

Cost; will be entrant friendly but not free

Date; will try to avoid clashing with other events

    Single entry or teams

Level; Hard/difficult/extreme or easy, those who have used the site know how good it is

Prize; yes / no. Cup of tea /Trophy/money or a :)

Your views are important, as it will help to shape the event should it take place.

It will be the first on this site so lets make it one you want…………..

seems like a lot of efforts going into this and its only fair to support, better get motor ready

  4. They look cheep until you realise they only do them in small sizes. Shame as I'll be needed another pair of Simex before too long.

other than a lift kit and wheel spacers what else would you recomend doing to accomodate 34" simex? on a 90

  5. Well shocks won't alter ride height but you might want to change them later to extend or alter the range of travel.

Ride height can be done with springs and/or spacers. Whay do you want +1" though? This will also raise your COG which may be further compromised by bigger tyres.

What springs are fitted currently and what are the springs compressed lengths in each corner with the truck resting on level ground?

To get it right you really need to get the H14 fitted and with drive, fuel and usual load go get the truck on a wiegh bridge, you want wieght on front and rear axles. We could assume but then you'll not get the best out of the setup.

For the most tunable setup I'm thinking coilovers are the way to go but we can get good VFM from LR bits and bobs first :)

cant you use RRC springs which are slightly longer yet resolves the brake pipe length issue (although you wouldnt need to at plus1's
