bolt onto rear cross member and rock sliders?????
-
thanks for the responses. was chatting to someone today and they mentioned anderson connectors. think i might go with this idea as the batteries are secured properly and its less hassle to pop one on than relocate and lose space in the rear. does anyone know where you can get hold of the connectors fairly easily?
vehicle wiring products as found here
www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk
or ebay no doubt

opposing mounted shocks mean that it's an early axle, very early.
I think paddocks (in their 27 page advert in the comics) sell the weld on shock and trailing arm mounts.
can you not just move the shocker mounting on the defender chasis as they are drilled for both positions?
-
Relocate your batteries to the rear.
No problems with access then.
Make sure you use 0 Gauge wiring when you wire it in.
will check msa book if you want to see what it says, but im pretty sure (if you want this info) that the seats will have to be secure on all sides, i know you cant have them fixed on sliders for competition use but maybe in a Lr for say local club trials this maybe different as they permit the use of std seats.
as LANDYMANLUKE says, fit a set of HDconnectors to your batteries then you can jump start easy, you would be better having your own jump leadas with you though as not everyone will carry them suitabl for a socket like

if you decide to let a garage do it PM dred90, hes just used a Landy garage in Canterbury (not far from you?)
if you do it yourself make sure you paint mark all the pulleys together and back to the casing, also check the tensioner and all the bits you have are what you need!

Beware all that sea air....
the old lump of magnesium bolted to the steel frames of doors/panels etc might be worth a thought
as the magnesium reacts with the steel before the ali it tends to save stuff a lttle longer (just remember to treplace the magnesium otherwise it still gets to the ali!

Is this so you can lassoo your winch line to the shore when stranded in water?
Seriously check the outside to see if there are any rivets where you would expect ribs to be.
A new headlining is required to finish the job properly along with an internal plastic trim that fits to the inside of the sunroof and holds the headlining around the sunroof surround.
John
unless you have one kicking around it may be as cheap to replace the roof, i picked up a county roof with f&R headlining alpne lights and sunroof for £100, by the time you get a new front lingin £25/30, sunroof £40 it soons adds up plus you might get £30+ for your roof
replacing roof isnt much of a job complared to f**kin about fitting one, if however though you got that route use a thick marker to draw round the glass where sunroof goes, that will give you the tollerance for your rubber seal.

Got a pic of the affected area?
speask friendly to a local paintshop WROKER, he'll probably do a bit on the side for some beer tokens, watch and learn for the first time.

A double cab pick up LR type or the japenese sort?
new defender looks pretty smart but only 4 seats, not sure if fold down bench seats would pass (maybe if they were removed for MOT you could still get it as a 6/7 seater)
never been a fan of 110, too long but thats my opinion, bet a hard sided station wagon wont be as usufull as thought, cant throw anything wet or smelly in the back else the rest will all steam up and slearing bushes along a track, dont want those thrown in amongst your pasngers do you.
thats my 2p worth
(if the later then mines up for sale)

This is the standard set up on the Tomcats and even given the tortured route the pipework takes we are still using the standard pump has been on there 3 years 300 tdi.
The one thing I would say is filling the system is a nightmare and expect to spend quite some time getting the air out of the system, lots of starting reving for 10 secs, stopping removing caps and re-filling. Other than that it is brilliant, I never clean the radiator out.
Make sure if you are setting it up against a cowl that water can drain away from the front as this is one issue I had....too well sealed.
any pictures
would get away with the problem of intercooler blocking air flow thrugh a front mounted rad.
or was that youre logic worthog?

Hi,
I have added oodles of content to my site as was suggested and I thought after all these months I should have made it to page 1 or at least 2 on google. However, I am lucky if I get to page 3 or 4. Why do you think this is the case?
I have tidied up the pages added robots to help the spiders, even added a map. I just can't work out why it is still rated so low? Any ideas?
Cheers,
Paul.

submit to as many search engines as possible, a tedious task i know, but worth the remits, i found the key in your firt paragraph on the home page
dont try and submit every page though as they will class it as spamming
best of luck, will check m,y rating on google now
