Ok I could be barking up the wrong tree here but are the engine / gearbox mount rubbers ok, when I removed my g/box to replace the chassis both g/box mount rubbers studs had snapped in the g/box end of the mounts, just a thought ?

I half think it's the A frame bushes, could be the ball joint or even the rear radius arm bushes but you never no ?

Have a good look at the pulley if it has a groove in it it needs machining or replacing as it will leak again if not ?

Hi guys
Soon we are going to start stripping down a 1971 s11a swb to restore on a new chassis its original colour is Bronze Green but at some point in its life it was professionally re-painted in limestone but can't decide wether to put it back to its original colour or keep it limestone, what do you think

I bought a 2010 power steer box off eBay for my 1988 90 for £150 and it works great and no leaks.

I have just fitted these led lights and flasher relay to my 90 and after 2 weeks the indicators don' work which I am suspecting a faulty flasher relay, my hazzards are flashing very fast so I am just hoping a new relay will sort it.

Or fit H/D steering rods that come complete with new ball joints then just replace the ball joints in the drag link which is what I am going to do with the s11a rebuild we are about to start.

Hi Greg
I am also new to the forum and old to Landy's and yes if you are not to fussed about it being miss matched with using s11a / s111 parts then yes you can as most stuff is inter changeable.
my last s11a swb which I fully restored had 11" brakes on the front which worked well using a disco 200tdi and it was great fun.

Hi orange badger
If it's an older defender try looking at the top left hand fuse behind the panel under the dash, hope this helps
