Do a pressure test when cold, if it's losing pressure at least you're searching for the escaping water round a cold engine, if you can't find the leak add tome UV marker and look with a black light.

The last '96 300TDi we bought cost us £700.
Mind that was a low spec 3 door from a local farmer.

Replace the cable.

What's the needle bearing like? Can't see it in the stub axle photo.

Testbook, or there are other 3rd party products; we've used Rovacom lite from Black Box for many years.

None if the vehicle's level... if you're worried support the centre with a jack when you unbolt it from the chassis then you can release ant tension in a controlled manner.

Just remove the ARB completely

Our local mobile AC guy can't do those repairs yet unfortunately.
Though our local LR dealer came up with a price a good bit less that the online sellers have it listed at.

Given the exorbitant price of these does anyone know of anywhere making up after market replacements?

It is of course highly amusing to have a gear lever from one box attached to the other

That doesn't explain why they worked with the control board outside it's box but not when reassembled.

Riiight, I think I'll pass on them

What sort of vent temperature should one expect?

I think it's low voltage that causes the SRS light problem, the fault condition needs clearing from the control unit.

Could well be, I'll strip everything back down again at some point

Just been trying to fix one here, no sign of any bad joints and everything was working fine with the board out of the housing... put everything back and no rear windows again

OK, so that's the starter, but the question of whether the glow plugs are controlled through the immobiliser remains.

don't forget the immobiliser kicks in after a few minutes after the key is switched off anyway, mine varies in length of time so that may be whats happening to you.
Not in my experience, I've restarted 300TDi Discos days after they were switched off without having to use the plipper.

Is this jack going to cope with my +4" Disco?

You'll be fine lifting corners, even an axle. But I wouldn't try to lift the complete vehicle in one go with it![:)](//content.invisioncic.com/r226025/emoticons/default_smile.png)
