Thanks for the replies. Yes I see the gaps on the outside seal area. These look like they will be blocked. Probably paint and stuff has filled them up. Ill more than likely try to split the door.

1992 Defender ex MOD I have a leaky window/door (shock). I think I've located the issue. In the window channel the water seems to pool at the forward edge, this then overfills and runs down the door into the footwell. What would cause the blockage? I can see a hole for drainage in the channel, I've poked this and it seems clear. Thanks

Snorkel now fitted. Just thinking out the box....rather than cutting a hole for a new heater intake, how about I use an extractor fan filter cut and cable tied over the blower intake inside the engine bay?

I have the vent for the heater off and am busy spraying up my second hand snorkel. Obviously the tube fits from the existing air filter intake to my snorkel, but what are the two union joints for? ps the photo is my snorkel upside down drying.

Changed the sensor and still no working gauge. Any ideas how to fix a gauge? It looks expensive to buy a new one.

Anyone know the best way to cut a “neat” hole in the wing for the new heater intake? I’m a bit nervous after cutting a hole in the dash for a lighter and it went horribly scrappy!

Oh ok, looks about the same then. Wonder why mine’s leaking? Might try to tighten it again but don’t want to overdo it!

Ex MOD 90 Defender 2.5n/a Diesel 1992 I purchased a snorkel for my Defender it’s an ex military snorkel and fits in the nearside top wing heater intake I’m struggling to find any photos on how to fit this. most of it is self explanatory but how do I deal with the heater blower intake? Do I also spin the air filter around so I can connect the hoses? Ideally a thread with just this would be perfect but I can’t find any and photobucket has deleted most photos of other threads. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Oh ok? Wonder why these are leaking then, they seem pretty tight to be honest.

I had a closer inspection of the pipes this morning and this is what I found. The nuts are not close to the body and appear to be at a slight angle. The o rings I purchased won’t bridge that huge gap. What can I do to rectify this? Ps mental note, must check garages work in the future!!!

Ps the metal connection at the end is bent, I’m assuming it’s suposed to be that way? It doesn’t really show the bend in my photo though.

I’ve just purchased an oil temperature sender for my military defender 90 on a 1992 Diesel n/a. The electrical connection end isn’t a spade connection? How do I connect the electrical end to the supply? thanks

Are the rings different sizes or both the same (I’m assuming they are the same). I can find rtc4826 if so.

Thanks It’s a 2.5 n/a, I’m assuming The stuff came off another 2.5n/a. Already checked the jubilees and they’re good, I’ll check the bleed also though.
