Defender 90 on a 1992 plate
new oil temperature sensor, new oil temperature gauge.
The guage lifts slightly when switched on, indicating power to the guage. However, the guage doesn’t lift above this initial point and doesn’t even raise to the “C” position.
This is the same as the old guage but I’ve since changed the guage and the sensor.
Any ideas please?
Any ideas which fuse is for the convoy light? Mine has stopped working (new bulb and wiggle test on the wire). My heater switch has stopped working as well, wonder if these share a fuse?
I’m looking to fit a couple of accessories to my Defender.
I already have a cigarette lighter fitted direct to the battery with an in-line fuse. I’m looking to fit an aftermarket cooling fan thermostatically controller, and a rear spot light. Will these be okay wired in the same way as the cigarette lighter, or do I need to wire differently?
Be CAREFUL, I did this recently. I miss hit the hammer (aiming for the stud) and put a nice bulge on my immaculate door panel on the exterior, pant chipped off and I ended up with a one and a half inch dent!
I’ve just ordered IRR NATO Green from Paintman as the above link. The swatch they sent appears to match perfectly. When my spray can gets here next week I’ll give an update. Thanks for the replies so far.
Really struggling to find a paint match!
1992 Defender ex MOD
Ive tried NATO Green, Olive Drab and even had a spectrometer put on it, still no match!
Any ideas guys?
As usual ran out of time!
Not checked the voltage yet. It was working fine before and after I changed the bulbs, I just had more difficulty moving the actual lever afterwards due to the cluster not being aligned.
I had to move th3 lever beyond its original point of operation to get it working.
Ex MOD 90 on a 1992 plate
i upgraded my dash bulbs a short while ago. When I refitted the dash cluster it didn’t fit quite correctly. I had to really push the blower lever down (tension) to get a fast speed for th3 heater blower. Now the blower doesn’t blow at all, heater fan doesn’t ev3n turn.
Any ideas what’s broken? I’m guessing it’s something up the top end as I was struggling to push the lever, however the lever is now free with all wires attached and no obvious breakages. Do the switches giv3 up the ghost? Doesn’t look like too much to go wrong with them
Thanks
Thanks for the replies.
i have the new seals with the inch gaps x 3.
Does anyone know the correct way of fitting these as I appear to have two method variations one on each door, neither looks right!
