Round 1, "Brains and BIG Balls"
It was cold, muddy, and everyone seemed to accumilate in the ditch
the "plastic truck" did very well, till it wore out all its electricity
Team Sharp "did'nt" manage to fill in there score card
It snowed

Shame, this looks like fun, maybe next year?
-
This idea seems to have little interest, so it will go no further , thankyou
-
Winch cables, and waffle board hammock ?? How heavy are u, "u have a plastc truck"
-
Think ill pop down and help marchel "if u'll have me"
-
I agree fuel costs keep going up ect, and this is why i am doing "market reserch first" before i spend too much time and effort ect, I dont want to run a straight hillclimb "way to dangerous ect" and besides anyone can blast up a straight hill
if u fall from a hight it's not good, but i am thinking of a number of meandering uphill " marked out trails", so more a teamwork than brute power event
-
Have had an idea to organise a hillclimb challenge type event, MSA regs, ect. I have the Perfect site ( bewdly .kidderminster area). Thinking fastest truck up a series of uphill sections, winch or lead foot.
Anyone interested ??

All the rounds have "good to reasonable camping, and resonable access for towing vehicles
Depends on ur experiance and skill with a trailer as to ease of entry

hi chaps i no some of you are moaning about the rules and want to knock the awdc scruts down a peg or two , we dont makes the rules thats the msa's doings not us , they do read all the web sites and have been in contact , they have asked us now if we would like a team in to messure and weigh all your cars which does take a long time which means it will not be completed before the start hence some cars wont go out , i dont want this as i want you all out there to have a good time so please read the rules and dont put stuff on web sites about us or it may be your car they get you to strp down in front of them if they turn up on the day , as you all no you have a msa licence and they can take that away from you for misconduct which includes things on web sites so please can i have just one event that i dont have any problems with and every one enjoys them self , looking forward to a new and good event for the 2012 season
Why on earth would the MSA BE INTERESTEN in "WEIGHING and MEASURING" the entry vehicles, Ive had a quick look in the kov INFO, and can see no weight /size requirements, and i can't find or think of any issues in the blue book for challenge trucks  . Ps im sure KOV's scrutaneering area will be a calm friendly place, with lighthearted friendly banter, and smiles aplenty

has anyone had a close look at jcb telehandler axles?
ME????,
-
Problem I saw on Merlo axles I looked at is that there is no room inboard of the swivels to fit springs on any kind.
Airshocks ?
-
Or forklift axles
Enough weight, 2500kg, down low to make sure you don't fall over.....
May be a little bit large for my suzuki. But
-
If u concider that thay come wiv steering ram, ect, and no need for armour, then there not quite so heavy, compaired to all the steering + axle of a landy, And who needs wide, when weight will hold u down, and u have massive steering angles and u actually fit through gaps ??
-
Anyone ever fitted / thoughts, ect on plant axles??? say Jcb 3cx front axles ??
-
All this "bickering over regs" is sounding all very "howlin woolf , ex " :angry2:
There is a complaints procedure that ALL MSA events have, So if on the day ANNYONE "scrut or entrant" .as any "issues" with "there or someone elses entry" this is the place to sort it out!!I.
It should all be written in the regs!!!!! If not then please look on the MSA WEBSITE its in the BLUEBOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please remember that as a competitor "It is your responcibility to prove elegability for an event" so having a knowledge "or a copy" of the regs to refer to" may help.
Now back to important questions "is there a tap on site???"
-
-
Simple Question
Whats the stronger / better axle for 36" tyres on a challenge truck??
Landy / rangie classic/ 90
or
Toyota landcruser
or
Nissan Patrol
And yes i will be requiring some sort of difflock eather aftermarket or origional equipment.
-
ya i would as i am there on sat days so no prob
Yay that's the spirit.
-
Thats 1
What about u |"baggy" & "smoky Jo"
-
Maybe instead of dissapearing of grumbaling, competitors should show there support for the "dedicated few". If the support isnt forthcomming from within the BADLRC " then maybe its about time that the competitors throw some energies into helping with events ??. lets face it we all like playing, but this leads to broken trucks, and this costs money and time to fix, so why not VOLINTEER to help at an event, maybe help set some punches on a saterday ,scrutineer some trucks on the sunday, bring a friend to help marshal?? whatever u feel u can offer, DON'T LET THIS EXELENT SPORT LOOSE A DAM GOOD SERIES!! for the lack of a bit of effort, and as for the LRS too far south "tough its near my house" and thats because i got of my arse and helped set it up because i got sick of travalin miles and miles for an event,
u can always move
-
had my letter
i knew a while ago about the outcome of next year but this confirmed it
its a shame really but hey ho
maybe you can arrange a 2day event during the year ? as im sure to hell we ALL would enter that one to all catch up with each other
after all way back when you first started look at the entrants....the banter....the laughs.... the carnage in the pitts with teams tipping there cars onto the side to work on them
who knows what the future may hold, i hope i get the chance to compete with such a fine bunch of organisers again
on behalf of both me and pricey
thank you buxton & district for such a fantastic few years
Its a real shame , But it just shows that there is a sevear lack of club help to organise events, "and not just in badlrs but nationwide" and it's always left to ther same dedicated few, maybe just maybe if a few more volinteers were found "lets face it we all enjoy the playing / competing" then this wouldnt happen. I really really do simpathise with the organisers, it must be really sole destroying having to put a holt to something that they obviously worked hard on. :(
-
]Not a million miles away from East Midlands Airport or Donnington raceway.
Have a look on the LRS website they have map links.
It's the only round I've not entered this year because of the Scotia up Scotland, which is a bummer because it's the nearest....
ALL INFO HERE ( There are even little orangeeee named boxes which if u give them a little tickle wiv ur screen pointer thingy will reviell stuff of interest like Maps, postcodes, dates, classes, scoring, contacts, some pritty pictures of some trucks)
