  4. (( We all know the drops ant that steep! must be the hard water! that stopped u too quick ))
  5. Not for long if carry on with the stunt show
  6. You'll be ok, the drops an't so steep as the lrs r5 so u should be able to use ur headlights for seeing with not balancing on
  7. So what is the cost of "borrowing" all this clever stuff
  8. Nightmare Challenge Near Eastmids Airport Entryform & info here Advertisement video Event email address
  9. So i take it the LOG INFO is on the course, and the truck just has a key, if so do u have to go and colect in the data from the course at the end of the day??
  10. Don,t get me wrong, i like the plastic pin punches, there simple to use, and pritty cheep too, but after 60 odd events there getting tired, blunt, and some are braking very easily. + the score cards are a pig to read when full of mud, its not too bad being an official at the end ot the day addind them up as my 10 yr old washes them with a sponge in a bucket of water for us, but its the competitor side that has a hard time seeing where the numbers are let alone the little pin holes. Also they can be a Bitch to find to colect in!!!
  11. Thanks,i may just have a borrow soon, just to see how they perform. I have been looking into this and have come up with a custom built system, totally waterproof "100 mtrs", metal and electric don't afect it, 20 yr memory, bluetooth unload / reload and a mental temp range, and apparently a ""indistructable"" casing ?? u just goto get it within about 5cm of the tag. No plugs to get muddy, no barcodes to scan, and at a resonable cost too. sounds too god to be true don't it! Im taking the robustness boast as a challenge, i think a 2 tonn landy and a big old oak tree with the thing squashed between may be a bit much!! Any body got any thoughts??
  12. Cool it will make a change to see Simons truck comming back muddy under its own power, "bless"
  13. There seems to be space under ur truck, or on the roof, for loads more stickers ! It's nice to see ur enjoying the LRS "Experiance" to the full ,
  14. Yep free stickers , just stick em over a dent or summett ,
  15. Team 14 down to one fuel tank, and it works , engine runs, exhaust fabricated and works too .
  16. Ur a head of us, we only got 1 x wing ,but we do currently have 2 x fuel tanks, one nice custom one we can fill "but cant empty as no fuel pump" , one huge standard one thats attached to bits of rear chassis that we dont want but has a fuelpump in it and some fuel . At least we can steer without spilling our fuel
  17. LRS Team 14, Nowhere near ready, fueltank relocation, rollcage instalation, winch upgraid, chassis mods, new wings & arches, wiring and station wagon to pickup cab, all started, nowhere near finished O and the driver has left the country
  18. Unfortunatly the loopholes seem to be in favour of the MSA, "ITS YOUR RESPONSABILITY" which dose beg the question, will they stand by challenge in the event of a accident or claim
  19. Maybe, maybe not I Stumbled accross a MSA Man over the weekend, had a little chat
  20. How about rotating the winch slightly , or putting a rollerfairlead / guid on the front ot it, and running the cable through this first
  21. Depends on which way up you park them, Chillax man, ur biggest problem will be squeesing past simon's truck, as his TD5 seems to be developing a liking for stopping right in the way just as we start
  22. We have a guage, so if we can squeze it over ur tyre then bingo, ur in. Bigger problem for u may be the entry space shortage, u need to ask the loverly Heather "lrs entries on the lrs web" if we have a space Say pritty please Failing that try for round 6. Its going to be awsom, we have left the best till last
  23. My understanding of a cut out switch is that it kills ALL POWER AT THAT SINGLE POINT!!!, The MSA don't have to bother with the niggly issues of how this is achieved, nor the fact that there may or may not be a switch suitable, thats the competitors problem, remember its up to the competitor to prove his truck complies!!! not the scrutaneer to prove it dose!! so if mr scrutaneer pops around ur truck with a volt meter, as ive seen in the past, checking for voltage at alternators, coils, starters, ect and he pops it on a winch solinoid, and it stays live, u dont comply!!!so u don't play!. Like i said it's ur responcability as a competitor to comply, so basicly its ur fault u fitted a winch which pulls too much power for a switch "u fitted" and it melts / fails!! . Remember the MSA are basicly"""insurance"", and if u want to be covered by there insurance, u have to play by there rules!!!
