Have had several fail on different cars and I can say it depends on the injection pump and your use. One of mine I didn't realize it had failed till I towed with it, another wouldn't go above 60mph without it and another failed to the point it wouldn't run so I bypassed it then it would do 80 and towed no problem before I had chance to replace it. So yes you do need it but it doesn't have to be mechanical.

Internal duct is screwed through the wing then the grill has plastic spikes that push into clips in the wing.

Normally screws but they are also normally stripped, buggered or missing so rivets doesn't surprise me.

It does improve approach, departure and ramp brakeover but kills your centre of gravity. The optimum is something like minimal lift, good balanced suspension travel, decent size and type of tyre and most importantly someone who can actually drive it.

I believe if you plug in a "new" Speedo with lower mileage than the ecu it will be reset to the highest mileage but I think it may work the other way to. Don't quote me on this it's based on something I vaguely remember reading.

As you have no wings on I would put something under the very rear as well.

The disco pump fits at least some of the under wing defender bottles possibly all. The disco squirters could probably be made to either as above or in the bumper. Neat screen wash doesn't freeze till about -15 mixed at about -2. The disco system is large bore about 2.5mm jets and high pressure it uses around 8mm rubber hose. I used this system on the tomcat and it's going on the ibex but for the windscreen.

When I did one I had a pair of stands at the bulkhead, C pillar and under rear floor supports. To actually lift the body off I used a chain block on either side of the bulkhead and a single block on the spare wheel carrier (you could put a bar across the rear door opening). Mine had all the doors and wings still on as I was doing it outside.

I remember a friend telling me he had to keep stopping to wipe snow off his headlights in this weather as they just don't create enough heat to melt it.

It should be R380 gearbox and a 1.41.1 LT230 transfer box. Unless someone has made changes in the past.

I would mount it inside. I had a d1lc in the tomcat and then the 110 both were inside I didn't like the idea of putting it outside it's to harsh for it on a land rover. I would put it on the wheel box inside with the exhaust, air intake (combustion) and fuel input down through the wheel box. The exhaust can be ducted out by the wheel the combustion intake I would duct up under the seat box so as the protect it. You can draw your heating intake from the cab but it can get stuffy though it will be warmer or put a vent through the body to draw fresh air.

Mouse had an lt230 behind an LS lump not sure which one but they never had any trouble with it. I don't think you need to worry the lt230 is pretty robust in standard form.

I did the same as western but used silicone grease though I've not opened it since and it still doesn't leak 4 years on.

Flux has always been good for modified vehicles but standard trucks are quite often better elsewhere. However I would give flux a chance to match or try you might be lucky. Sorry can't help with tescos though.

Atleast some if not all TD 110s had a 1.41:1 t-box.

Mines something like "white gold" it looks like a fluke but I believe it's maplins. TSD told me recently that a good number of cheaper multimeters are borderline dangerous but I can't remember why it was something to do with the way there were fused or not inside.

Shirelrc amongst others use sites and lanes in and around hants, wilts and Dorset.

I think it's on the side of the steering column support under the dash and I think you just join the two blue/red wires but please check with a meter or the wiring diagram first.

Just replied in your other thread have you checked the dim dip unit I seem to recall a similar problem on mine that turned out to be dim dip I bypassed mine.

I think 265/75x16 were an optional extra but there all the same (similar) overall diameter and wheel size (265's need wider rims).
