I probably should have one of those on mine really. Certainly look like that's what it is. I think there's a list in the gen manual.

Or use a solenoid instead of an isolator that way it's all inside the battery box bar a nice switch with a light on it. Then you could also use the x charge to switch the solenoid as well ie auto or manual split charge and manual jump.

I believe you need part of the defender stick housing to go with it though.

And you need to park it in a lake of waxoil to keep it that way.

All 3 of them... I heard ##itpart do a two year warranty now in an effort to improve their name. I've worked on the theory if it doesn't move or have seals it will probably be ok having said that many moons ago I had a ##itpart stop/tail melt on me they did replace it but I wasn't brave enough the use it.

Our 90 is an 89 vintage and that came with a flat roof as it is a station wagon. But our 110 is ribbed but you'd be hard pressed to be earlier that that. I like both but wouldn't change one for the other. The 110 could do with a new roof as someone riveted Ali over the alpine lights making it impossible to refit them without a line of rivets round them.

I had to mod 45's pedal box to fit a disco servo and master cylinder.

The reservoir on ours is pointing down hill but seems to work no problem.

Blocked nipple? Get a pin or bit of wire to press the ball in they jam from time to time.

Atleast he wasn't looking for a way round it like a lot do......
My hat.....why thank you.

Disco has more ports (200tdi) so you would need to completely Re plumb and change the front calipers. I have done this on 45.

I have used it on mine with no ill affects. Any grease is better than none.

Front props are phased differently to rears. Rears are normally in line fronts are one or two splines off in line. You can Re phase them but obviously not if it's to short.
If it makes you feel better I had a drum fall off the same way but I ran it over so stop to pick it up. Now I whined the nuts back on as well as the areas.

The genuine lr manual has better wiring diagrams than the Haynes but they are the same style ie not in one complete diagram.

Looks like keanol (spelling maybe wrong) I think it was castrol and now discontinued. If it is it's a water resistant grease that was used on boat trailers and in the marine industry.

Might be worth reading the trailer IVA manual it will A. Help with ideas and B. Technically if you want to use it on the road you will need to pass it I believe.

I've used a bottle jack and some wood just check which way up you need the jack most jacks only work on there side one way up.

To be fair if you can't afford a chassis then get it welded and use it for a few more years whilst saving for a chassis. At least that way you get to enjoy it.

I welded mine up but only because I did it and I can't afford a galv chassis at the moment but a new chassis is on the list for the future. So if it's a keeper and you can afford it do a chassis.

I believe it's a direct fit but you need to swap the pistons as well.

Anything over 235/85 is a disadvantage on all surfaces but soft sand or deep snow. When you see oversize tyres in the UK on anything other than a rock crawler, it has been done out of ignorance or for the look.
I'd have to disagree there but I'm not about to start a slanging match however I'd agree that you don't need massive tyres and pattern makes a huge difference.

You may well have larger rims. I think you can get an 18 in defender pcd but most people put pcd altering spacers on to fit range rover alloys etc. However it didn't leave the factory like it and I'd be surprised if a lr main dealer did it.

Rear seat legalities

You can't put children in side facing seats under a certain age/height in the UK. That age of truck it may not need seatbelts in the back (can't remember the year they became law) though I'm not sure how the law sits on retro fit.
