  1. Thanks, mine only has pre O2 sensors.
  2. Thanks for that martin I have checked the plugs and the leads and all seems to be OK. What I do not undeerstand is why the fault code says it's malfunctioning but the data reads an output. and it switches to closed loop when a faulty Lambda would keep it in open loop!!!!!!!!!!!!! jiginc
  3. Hi, Help please with a D2 V8 problem. Had the engine on a Crypton CODEx analyser yesterday and it reported fault code P0134 O2 Sensor no activity detected (Bank 1 Sensor 1) . However when I have checked it on a OBD II simple system same fault code but when looking at the data it gives; O2 Sensor 1 , Bank 1 output 0.515v O2 Sensor 1 Bank 2 output 0.565v Are these not the signals it says have no activity? These voltages vary as the engine is used. Also the information says at start up it’s running open loop and it changes to closed loop which seems to indicate that it must be getting a signal from the Lambdas or it would stay on open loop. Also the problem I am having lumpy running on LPG between 1000rpm and 2000rpm does not happen when on open loop. jiginc
  4. Is the pipe the cruise control pipe?

  6. Don't think so. Totally different chassis and a longer and wider body.
  7. If as you say, and I don't doubt it, the 7 seater needs the Air suspension what happens if I change the air bags for springs as advertised in all the magazines. Are they in contravention of any regulations to offer something that will make the car illegal and dangerous.
  8. He drives a P38 not sure if it's a V8 or not. jiginc
  9. Thats Warren at WGB Autos. \\knows his Landrovers and has the test equipment. Based at Highfield Place near Highfield Library.
  10. My understanding was that Nancom only works with the TD5 not the V8. May be you can change BCU items but not look at the engine. jiginc
  11. I was a little concerned when I realised my D2 did not have a diff lock. However after camping on a very muddy field on quite a slope I had no problems getting off. Solo the traction control light flashed a couple of times and when leaving with 1600Kg’s of caravan on the back traction control was working hard but grip was maintained and we got through with no problems. I am now quite happy to trust the traction control and not have the bother of diff lock. JIGINC
  12. Sorted. The problem is the MAF. A new MAF was tried to sort out a backfiring but the company supplied the wrong MAF. The one supplied was for a Mercedes not a d2. Will now have to try and get it swapped for the right one. Thing is the old one seems to be OK.
  13. Thanks noggy but on the V8 it's a cable connection not like a TD5
  14. Discovery II 4.0 V8 Delay in engine picking up when accelerator pedal is pushed down hard. In fact it some times it almost stalls. It’s on petrol and LPG. LPG amplifies the problem but it is certainly on petrol as well. The car has had new spark plugs and leads plus two new coils all OEM. Any help welcome. Thanks JIGINC
  15. BRC SEQUENT 56 system. On a Discovery II 4.0 Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this system please. Or any installation instructions. Many thanks.
  16. Never had a problem on my 3.9. I always use copper grease. If you don’t give it a try. JIGINC
  17. Mine has been doing this for at least the last two years and about 7,000 miles. Have changed tappets etc but no fix. However I did find a service note re the rockers being faulty and once replaced the increase in power was noticeable. Also removed the cats but same noise. In the middle of all this the head gasket went and I thought that’s it. Fitted new head gasket and guess what same noise. I just live with it. jiginc
