hi all,  my defender 90 1987 has a clicking and crunching noise when i turn hard left, presuming its the cv joint in the offside swivel ball need to get dinky (defender 90) to my unit which is about 6 minutes away would it be ok to drive it there. dd

yes seen these and all images on google but can't find sender unit that looks like mine and I have no earth wire just two white/slate grey and one green/black its a 110 diesel btw should have said, dd

hi, working on the project this morning and tried to start engine for the first time to no avail couldn't get fuel to filter, anyway looking under neath at fuel tank and sender unit which is on the side of my tank with one spade connector in a white sleeve and one in a red sleeve and a earth connector in the middle I have three wires in the loom that can only go to the tank two white grey slate and one green/black where do they go , dd

mechanic I know uses two cheap bottles of coke in the header and runs couple of minutes and then leaves it in  over night said it works wonders, put a penny in coke over night and see results dd

had this on wifes p38 I cleaned connections on tailgate slight corrosion green flux stuff if not connected becm thinks tailgate is open and goes into easy access mode work for me rangie long gone 3yrs now

I took pressure switch off (Circled), side fluid feed came off with it (copper washers etc). If I take the one off TD clutch will it fit straight on?

its the old td clutch pedal at the moment the pedal arm is a U shape rather than a solid bar don't mind bleeding just wondered if I could swop the masters over thks

I think its the tdci one its got spring fitted to pedal and pedal box theres a bolt on the back on the bottom some kind of adjuster

hi, bought a spring assisted clutch pedal but fluid feed is on the side where as on the td its on the top do I have to change the plunger system over as well or alter the feed thks

exmod 1991 Salisbury rear drum brakes converted to discs everything when fine but o/s rear half shaft seemed to be wrong one inserted hell of a game to get it out had to grind flange off which had been welded on remove drums then knocked it out back through the stub axle it had a raised area which I presume for oil seal but the shaft it self seemed to thick anyway thicker than the other half shaft on n/s so now I need a half shaft part number read else where that thee original drum brake shaft would be ok, dd

found a plug with all the right wires in which I think fits into a relay(no relay there) but the thick yellow/black has been cut off and also the thick brown wire seems to have gone to passenger side with headlight loom but has also been cut off y/b I presume goes to heater plugs where should the brown wire go

hi, discovery engine into defender I am at the stage connecting glow plugs up but there wasn't any loom with the engine so starting from scratch, I am copying a lot from my 90 with the same conversion all I can see is one brown/red trace coming from glow plugs back into bulkhead it goes to ignition not sure if glow plug even work no lights on dash to state this, so has anyone got a wiring diagram for glow plugs, also on starter motor I have four brown wires coming off two of which go to alternator other two go threw bulkhead why is there two going to alternator, dd
