hi, tried all day yesterday to get clutch fork clip in, broke two in the process, what's the worst that could happen if not fitted, reason being have'nt got time now until next week, cheer's dd

how will i know where clip has to go, sorry first time for me, clip in a u shape and all seems strong cheer's dd

hi all.d90 with a 200tdi disco engine in it,kept getting air in clutch fluid, so went down to investigate on veiwing slave cylinder mounting bolt seemed lose, found out that thread had stripped in belhousing case.second problem, on removing slave push rod came out with it and a black clip dangling on the end of it, please tell me i have'nt got to take gearbox off or engine out to rectify this problem cheer's defender dinky

hi, read some where if diesels left for long periods in cold weather you could get wax form in fuel lines, only a thought defender dinky

hi all, d90 1987, open rear door look straight ahead there's a rail down the back of rear tub, my spare wheel was fixed to it when i bought the d90, can i take this out, as i want to make a tool box and i think it's going to obstruct the lid, would i lose strenght to rear tub cheer' defender dinky

hi, found this post interesting, i to have never being off road as such, bit of shooting with the dog flat feilds, glad to learn about difflocks high and low ratio, seen the clips very impressed , i was 50 xmas,hooray, and my eldest bought me a day at silverstone 4x4 track yet to book it up next month i hope has anyone done this trek, and is there anywhere near the west midlands where i could possibly spectate at one of thee events, have a chat and get to know more about it perhaps get some advice on my truck from you guys cheer's defender dinky

hi all, d90 1987 tdi (disco engine) power steering bled steering so i thought after driving round the block for ten minutes steering goes stiff again, hoping this is just because i bled it wrong , what i would like to no is how do i do it properly step by step next question, when i stripped d90 down for galv chassis i took took electric plug off for ttowbar as any body got the wiring diagram for me to connect back up, got plug and there are numbers by terminals which mean nothing to me,i know the colour code for the wires on the truck just want to know where they go on the socket cheer's defender dinky

hi, according to haynes, chapter 8.2 sliding end points to front axle on front prop and sliding end on the back prop towards tranfer box, from experience i had virbration when my rear prop was wrong way round, i have d90 1987 td, defender dinky

hi,front doors, doors close when picked upbut keep dropping,have not changed hinges,yes up and dqwn alignment,there were no black plastic spacers when i took them off,capive nuts have not been changed,yes bulkhead has being moved, spripped it all down for galv chassis cheer's defender dinky door card keeps catching sill,

hi, four brown wires go to starter jioned in pairs, one white/red goes to spade connector, thinking about it can't remember if i connected wires back on ignition barrel have a look tomorrow, cheer's defender dinky

hi,i have 2 thick brown wires 1 brown/yellow wire, do the 2 thick brown wires go to the same terminal on the alternator meaning b+ thin brown/yellow to d+ because i have three terminals stud type, at the moment i have thick brown going to b+ thick brown going to w thin brown/yellow going to d+ battery light stays on, when i try ignition it goes out but i have no power to turn car over need help need dinky for monday cheer's defender dinky

hi, what i have is 1 red lead off battery to starter motor, off the s/motor 4 brown wires paired up on eye rings two go to alternator, other 2 joinup to a male and female rubber plug which then goes into the bulkhead, what's happening is battery light staying on when ignition is off, and this morning i had no ignition at all but the ignition lights come on the dash, car started yesterday, used another alternator today and still battery light stays on and no ignition can anyone help cheer's defender dinky

hi could my problem be a earth?? should there be an earthwire on the alternator if so where should it go, i have an earth from the belhousing to chassis transferbox to battery should i have more cheer's defender dinky

hi all, electical problem on my rebuild defender 90 with a 200tdi disco engine,problem is wired alternator back up, on doing so crossed spanner on terminals and big blue flash jumped out my skin and now battery light stays on when ignition is turned off, being informed by forum member that diodes knackered, or igntion wiring incorrect, checked ignition everything fine there,don't know anything about diodes so wondering if i could fit my spare alternator which came off the old td engine, as anybody done this and has any pictures as regards wiring set ups i would be very grateful cheer's defender dinky
