hi all, removed my steering column, now putting it back together which end goes on the steering box? is it the short bar or long bar, my minds a blank derr cheer's defender dinky

hi all, out shopping today and found some anchor rope, 40mtr's long & 16mm thick with a breaking strain of 3000kg's, with a loop on one end spliced properly,£79.99 brand new in sealed package, would this do for my winch cheer's defender dinky

could it be shims are to thick on the tail bearings of the pinion shaft,if i tighten the castle nut, all i'm doing is pulling the pinion towards me but if the shims are to thick would they prevent the tail bearing from sitting in the races properly, but saying that the split pin is in the hole of the castle nut, just a thought,

hi all,d90 1987 200tdi coversion, i had a droning noise on the 90, so i removed front propshaft and put in to difflock and drove about three miles noise had gone completely, would a warn flange in the diff cause this noise,or would it be the flange on the gearbox end,when parked i can rotate the gearbox flange11/4", the noise always got louder the faster i got, is there any pictures out there of a good flange, and a bad one, haven'nt put prop back on yet i want to try and solve it asap, :huh: cheer's dinky

hi all,the wife's p38 1997 dt, had a problem with eas for a fortnight now, so need some help, it all started with a 35 max fault on dash and on the bump stops, bought software and leads from fleabay, but would not move fault, now that's being sorted, it was fuse number f23 in engine bay replaced and 35 max fault removed from dash display aswell as tc, and abs fault all gone,suspension would not lift at first, pump works fine, moved passenger seat back to normal place and front end shot up to maximum height, but left rear on bump stops , looks like a dragster now, what can i do, will i have to reset each corner through software cheer's defender dinky

hi, taken rear prop off today drove in diflock still got whinning noise, so that cancells out rear axle,diff and propshaft, while i was under there i noticed the oil seal on the front diff was pouring out at some stage, moving front prop up down side to side,in and out hell of alot of movement on front diff flange, this has happened a couple of times with different diffs in the last 7mths, put new prop on 3mths ago, what am i doing wrong dd

hi all,defender 90 200tdi conversion about 12mth ago, loud whinning noise in 4/5 gear gets louder when accelerating,loud enough so you have to talk loudly in cab, abit of vibrating as well, been happening a few weeks now, noticed it's starting in third slightly today on motorway, any help welcome, cheer's defender dinky

the last time it happened i released the bleed nipple a touch no fluid came out so i took the nipple out altogether and it took about five minutes before fluid showed, that was without engine running, so you maybe right air has had time to build back up i guess, cheer's western dd

hi all, 200 tdi, noticed today that my power steering fluid has overflowed again , first time about a month ago, coming out of the top of reservor tank, why????? dd

hi been waiting now for a friend of a freind of a friend, to pick up wife's range rover p38,so now looks like i'm towing it myself, it's all on road but about five mile,no trailer, in which gear would be best, low diff, high diff, i know the p38 is heavy to push, i will be towing it in my d90 1987 200tdi,cheer's defender dinky
