  4. Just got myself a pair of MINOX Binoculars HG 10x52. Brilliant for under 600 quid. But if you can afford it go for Swarovski for sure. 100% the best you can buy.

  6. Had the same problem on my 130. Never found out where they come from. But never had any problems with the windows.
  7. Iam going to be changing the oils im my front and rear diff, can anybody tell me if i can use FULLY SYNTHETIC oil like Millers TRX Synth 75w90 or just stick to Mineral oil EP 75w80 GL5. By the way its on a Defender 130 300 Tdi 1996 Many Thanks.
  8. The etch what we use at work is like pee, and run's like hell if not sprayed properly. The only reason etch primer does not dry or adher to the ali is grease. Is the primer from the filiform corrosion resistant type? Try washing off the small piece and spraying it again. Preparation is the key to a brilliant end product One thing is for sure be sure to use the right spraying mask cause of the chromates in etch primers.
  9. Just come down the M6 from Scotland to find the temp gauge running on normal, then within 1 minuete to red hot then back down to normal a couple a minuetes later. This happened several times. Never had this problem before with the bugger. Did a search but it seems that there are lots of solutions. By the way its a 300 tdi

  12. Many thanks for your reply's lads. But are the GKN bearings 3 times better than the Timken ones, as they are 3 times more expensive ?????? We are preparing for a RTW trip in two years time, and don't won't to have any problems along the way.
  13. Can anybody please tell me, which make are the original hub bearings on a 110. The prices for Timken bearing's are around 10 quid a piece but looking on L.R.Series web site the Genuine one's are more than 33 quid each, is there any difference between these two bearings, or are the genuine one's also Timken.   16. Use poly 2 pack or better still 3 pack, hard as nails. Also get yer self a good gun Devilbis are the best make

  20. On my defender 130 i have got some michelin xzl 7.50.16 tubeless on my wolf tubed rim's. My first question is is this allowed, and secondly is it possible to fit 235/85r16 on these tubed rim's without any problems ?????
  21. Thinking about putting some diff/axel guards on the defender. I know this has been talked about many times, but which one's are the best. Some people swear by Southdown, other's QT. Some people will never fit them. What are your thoughts.

I have a defender 130, 300TDI, my plans are to fit a safari snortel, can anybody tell me if i need to fit axel breather's or not ? It does not say anything about breather's on the instruction's manual from Safari. Many Thanks
