Planning a RTW trip in a few years time, and was wondering what are your thought's are on the Azalai, or the Demountable campers. Which do you think is the best of the two. They both have good and bad point's about them. Your thought's please.

Painting it myself is an option, but finding a warm dry day in the UK? I want whatever you've been smoking . It does happen now and again belive me.

Normally you wont have any problems with the 2k paint as this has hardened off completly, so you could use anything. The best stuff is polyurethane 3k or 2k. One thing is very important, be sure to give everything a good rubbing down, and use the right primer for the right paint. If i was you i would buy a cheap compressor and gun on flea bay. Then spray the bulkhead's etc etc, and things that yer can't get too,its don't matter if there is some dust in the bulkheads,so you can spray them outside on a dry day, assemble everything, Then have a look around in the yellow pages for spraying booths for hire, the shell has to be 100% so that will need the spraying booth. As for inside the doors and wheel wells use Dinitrol, just did mine this summer whole kit cost me 100 quid but it is a lot better than that waxoil ****e. Dinitrol is the best on the market for sure. For your information, the car industry use water based paint, which is useless. you have to look to the aviation industry or some other heavy industry for polyurethanes. Professional use only. Lots of Chromates and other dangerous stuff in there. Good Luck

Hi Andrew, ended up using exopy glue to stick the mxc 1800 into position on the door pads, worked 100%. No problem's. I got the same carp from the dealer, that you have to buy a new panel, but 400euros is a wee bit to much, then a clip for a few cents is worth it.

Went to see the azalai 2 weeks ago in devon on a 130. Beautiful camper and the boss/owner Anton knows lots about camper units and travel as a whole. The azalai has got everything in there, bit it comes with a high price. Don't think you will get anything better for the price anywhere. We are planning a rtw trip in 3 years time, hoping to take about 6 or 7 years to do it. if you see anything else descent in peterbro please let me know. Have a briiliant weekend

Okay all of you defender wizards. I have a small problem, when turning into a right hand corner i get a bonk noise which seems to be coming from around the rear axel area, sorry that i cannot be more exact. Have tried to tie the wife to the underneath to listen where its coming from, but she wasn't having any of it Any suggestion's what it might be.

Many Thanks for your help gentlemen, however it is as crwoody says, the pins are molded into the door panel, and i tried to get one out yesterday but no luck without destoying the whole panel. Will give crwoody's idea a go with the self tappers and see how it works. Once again many thanks.

Can anybody please tell me where i can get hold of the door clips, the ones which seem to be fixed into the interior door panel, also can yer tell us how the are fixed onto the panel itself.

Can anybody give me a rough idea to how oil much a defender 130 tdi use's per 1000 mile. Just got back from a trip of 700 mile and had to put half a litre of oil in there. Is this normal ???? Many Thanks

Go for the 2 pac it is 1000 stronger than the synthetic carp. Try and get hold of some aircraft paint, that is the best there is.

Which is best for the swivel pin housing. Grease or Oil ????????
