We had a X reg freelancer TD4 with one as STD, tucked away in the n/side wheel arch, ours just came on when the ambient temp was low enough, but yes there is a dealer option to have it on a pre timer or a remote, but dunno how much that option was

Hi all, The time has come to replace the slipping clutch on my TD5 90, I ( as in the garage) willmalso be replacing the flywheel as matter of course, my question is --- shal I do like for like ie another dual mass jobby, or I have been offered a solid type instead, they have fitted one to a similar truck and noticed no different in feeling or complications since, my feelings are-- the STD dual mass one has been ok for 108k along with the clutch so I should stick with that type, But I'm also thinking a solid one can't really go wrong or wear as much as in bushes etc, whatsyabthoughts please ??? P.s money wise is pretty much the same foreither option

Also a good sharp tap on the casing can help to shift um also,

My brushes stuck on mine on Salisbury plain, so limped home, and whilst still running I jet washed it for about fifteen minutes solid, then with a big schreech as the charging kicked in off she went again :0) I didn't put any oil or anything either, that was over a year ago, good luck

Good evening all, I have a 51 reg 90 CSW with I think the STD poor headlights, what can I use to brighten things up ? For off road stuff I have four 9" HID on the roof that do the job more than fine, but I'm after better everyday lighting please , I have fitted some new crystal lamp units but don't really cut the mustard , So what can we recommend then please ?? Hi all, I need to change the rear diff oil seal on a 300 tdi disco, am I right unthinking the flange is tricky to get off ? A puller or special tool maybe required ) done loads on defenders but not disco, many thanks

Good afternoon all, on behalf of a driver at work I'm looking for some advice please ? The vehicle is a 300 tdi gap import auto box on a P reg, In short the speedo has stopped, apparently it intermittantly cut out a few weeks ago on a run but has been ok ( up until yesterday) all other gauges are ok, looking through the book of lies I understand it has a sender of the transfer box and no speedo cable as such ? Just wondering to change the sender or get a new speedo cluster jobby ? Would be a shame to just change the speedo as it's a really low mileage car and is being sold in march, any clues or tests, tips please ?? Looks "easy enough " to change the sender ?..
