Hi all, I have purchased a gas welding set , all brand new pipes,gauges, flash back etc, I know the gauges screw direct into the bottles, but do/ should I tape up the othe joints ?? Thanks in advance

Yep it's radio waves, happened to me twice in our freelander, pushed it round the corner and starts up fine, happens a lot in hospital car parks also, the off road shop gets a few calls a week with this very same question, Although apart from pushing it round the corner I don't know what the answer is :0/

Landy Andy, that's the jobby I have, was expensive but I'm sure if you researched the strut it might be cheaper ?? As I say thoughim happy wiv mine :-) yet again , just a shame it's not a std fitment :-/

I have a gas strut on mine and a swing away wheel carrier, no problems holding it open in the past couple of years, and I use the rear door forr a drop down shelf/cooker Got mine as a kit from the overland show, but for the life of me I can't remember who sold um :-/ However a simple angle iron bracket on either end and a measure up of operating lengths combined with a trip to a breakers yard ( hatch back car ) should do the jobby and almost certainly cheaper that the kit from memory :0)

Hi all, I have acquired a very handsome walker turner pillar drill from a neighbour, I have cleaned up and all in fine order, but --- I need a key for the chuck , anyway of measuring/ counting to work out which one to find/ order please ?? I'm hoping there a std type thing but have no idea on these matters, it is Landrover related as it sits in my workshop with all my other landy bits 8-)

How about pneumatic dampers ? A type that you can remotely adjust the pressure to stabilise the truck , I don't know much on this subject but maybe worth investigating ?

What engine ? mines a TD5 CSW 51 plate, Big intercooler and a IRB remap , on a trip to Wales and laning 27mpg, driven any old how , If that helps .
