A tradesman friend of mine once said to me, if you can't hide it, make a feature of it !

I had too, though mine expired after about 5-6 years use. Switched to Bilstein +2 and they've been absolutely excellent, a much better ride in my opinion. Bought from MM4x4 as they seemed good value.
How so, Scott ? What characteristics make them better ? I know they are a very popular choice currently.

He's unhinged but I take my hat off to him as I really thought you could only make something that ugly in photoshop.

Honestly mods, what do we pay you for?

Surely that's photoshopped, no one could build anything that ugly !

What a tasteless monstrosity that thing is ! The builder was plainly on the wacky baccy (and probably mushrooms too) when he thought that would look good on the back of a Land Rover ! 🥴
Perhaps he could develop an Evoque version and post pictures of it in the Evoque forum where no one will ever see them !

I dont know how it would finish but I would sikaflex some ali off cuts to the inside of the panel behind the holes and then a skim of filler on the outside and paint.
Bit of fine mesh works better 👍

Rear air locker is trying my patience, can get it to engage but not disengage must of had the diff out about 12 times and I can tell you it's bloody heavy, take the good with the bad.....
Here's to another DIFFicult day tomorrow regards Stephen
You need to come up with a DIFFerent solution.

If you drill some holes on the bottom to let the water out then you wouldn't have to worry about sealing holes further up the battery box that let the water in.

The question in my head is are they getting stuck so much that they needed to paint the recovery eyes red ?

I quite like the look of lanolin and I'm going to give it a go when I get round to re-doing mine. It does look easier to apply and if it is then that's going to make reapplication easier which means it's more likely to be done rather than put off.

It does seem, to me at least, to have strayed away from its original concept.
It started out as a no frills NGO alternative to the Defender and has ended up as a Tour de France camera car.
Methinks they lost their way around the time they decided to build it in France rather than Wales.

Power steering pump 200tdi
in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
Posted
I'm hunting down a noisy bearing sound on the front of the 90. Water pump and Alternator pulleys turn smoothly and without play. The power steering pump is notchy in one direction and smooth in the other, given that its still connected and full of fluid, am I feeling it trying to pump fluid or should it spin smoothly in both directions ?
