  1. I hope you'll all forgive my shameless plug here for Adrenalin 4x4.

The guys are in Rotherham (close by me) and I went over today to pick up some gear. I was SO impressed that I absolutely had to make a thread to show you guys how awesome their stuff is. I've attached a pic of the kit I got, it's for my rebuild, which you can see at http://landroverdefender.tumblr.com should you wish.

The trailing arms just blow my mind away- and the guy who makes them is such a legend, really friendly. Fully recommend these guys!

Hmm a bit too gushing a praise?

the welding looks poor on the HUGE photo.

  2. Your c's broken

There are some new types of nuclear power plants under development that I wouldn't mind having in my back yard. From what I've read they're very safe, hardly produce any waste, and what they do produce can be largely recycled. The name of this new tech is escaping my brain atm though, I think it had something to do with tritium?

St Trinians was a good film, can I have them in my backyard?

  3. I think the idea of new drivers having to pass a towing test is great, infact i think older drivers should be tested too,

I dispair at the standard of trailer towing when I go to the local tip, I end up square in a sraight line within the lines, the others seem to drive across 4 parking spaces and still need to unhitch to turn things around.

  4. How about a hi lift mount?

one that can be secured, but still keep the jack able to be accessed easily.

oh and some sort of weather protection for the gubbins would be a bonus.

BTW I was one of the first in the country to take design and technology back in the 70s. I built a glassfibre swivel chair.

  5. A friend of mine used a plug in box from one of the big names, the car went like stink but he coulnt afford to fuel it.

I had mine done recently by Bell autos, it goes well (better than standard), and returns 31mpg.

  6. I have a flo flex set on my disco, it seems fairly flexible now, but under control. a few of the other rubber bushes were shot, so the lot were swapped.

I had a set from Pa**ocks a few years ago and they were so firm they loosened your fillings.

  7. How much would it cost to do thw whole of my underside in waxoyl on discovery2 ?

a gallon of waxoil at £30 and an hours labour at say £40?

to a proper job using a few gallons and two or three hours, or one "specialist" will take £800 off you.

  8. I had the wifes td5 done last week by Bell autos, its transformed the car,

the flat spot below 2000rpm has all but gone,

the fuel guage seems to have slowed down on its run to empty too, just doing a brim to brim check.
