I have a southdown tankguard
make sure if you have a lift and or bigger tyres that you buy the towing attatchment for a 110, as the disco one they sell leaves the towball about 3 inch too high on the bottom hole with 2 inch lift and 275/75/16s
I would have thought if you needed a tankguard you would have bigger tyres and a lift?
southdown are aware of this.

Blanchards have had those sitting on the front for 8 years to my knowledge,
they were rough when I first saw them.
-
ACE was an option.
-
I dont think you are meant to be able to unlock using the door buttons, the switch on the dash locks and unlocks.
-
the td5 is a landrover engine. NOT a bmw one.
-
But the small pipe must strangle the engine?
-
It depends if the MOT man knows where to look?
I know that 3 door cills are harder to repair than 4 door ones.
-
but that wont get any air out of the system.
-
Mmmm atlantic salmon oil
-
you mean its NOT super articulation?
-
The 300 tdi disco had an ajustable column too, may be easier.
-
on a cold start, try priming the lift pump, if it starts ok,its air in the system,
probably something got disturbed in the test?
have a look at the sedimentor.
-
I have them on the back of my disco, as the springs are too soft for heavy towing, a few pounds in them stiffens the rear up,
one problem is you cannot use dislocation kit.
I got round it by welding a spring catcher on the turret.

I thought most V8s dropped to 4 pots when they saw a puddle?
-
They are about £30, not worth trying to clean and seal the old one.
-
The welding is a half hour job,
I usually clean the rust up and get back to decent metal, then holding a plate underneath seam weld from the top grind flat and fill, a coat of seam sealer/underseal from underneath and the job is done,
for the abs light check the wheelbearings.

Im with Flux, they asked for a breakdown of my valuation, so I totted up the cost of the bits I have fitted, they agreed so we have gone from there.
-
I have to ask why bother?
there are plenty here, I am sure it would be easier to sell it there and buy another here.
-
anything is possible, with a bit/lot of bodywork.
-
You are doing it the wrong way?
most people fit bigger arches and a lift to accomodate bigger tyres, not look for tyres to fill and arch.
why not go for 275/75/16s and spacers if you want them sticking out more?
-
I would look at a goodwinch or Champion tds,
unless you intend using it daily or competing.
-
My main reason for asking is that my mate's Defender appears to eat lift pumps every six months or so and we can't work out why.......
do the lift pumps come in a blue box?
-
Mine turned over 240,000 today,
on the original engine.
-
To put the TDi in the bobtail and have it back on the road.

If you are going to use a spacer, and need to swap the flange, why not make an adaptor?
sales opportunity for someone??
