It was hot, too hot, I dont know how the winch bitches ran about all weekend in it,
btw I was in the red disco usually at the other end of your winch line,
-
we are setting off in a short while,
both are marshalling,
look for ORRP on the disco.
-
I'm pretty sure there is an excentric adjuster at the top of the pedel to take up slack.
where?
since fitting a britpart (yea I know) master to my 200 disco the pedal is 50mm lower than the brake.

I notice that few rebuilds in land rover comics ever get a Q plate??
-
the teeth on the drive gear on the box will have gone,
take it out and have a look.
-
But SPI went bust the other year,
or at least stopped selling stuff.

I have my cut out just under the bonnet, before use I pop the bonnet and turn the key,
it has been known for scrotes to pull the winch cable over the car to the towbar, then short the controls.
-
Dont forget the champion winches have a good freespool.
the first time I tried mine I nearly fell over, I was expecting the same resistance as my old Ramsey.
-
but ropes take up a lot of room,
I keep several strops of different lengths, often you need a long strop but sometimes a short one makes it possible due to some obtruction.
as said forget the kinetic for now.

Hmm salmon oil anyone?
-
a wise choice
-
what make?
was it secured in any way?
-
My disco 1 weighs in at 2.7 ton so somewhere near that?
-
Waits for fish oil man to make a comment

Try Nat on orrp?
-
You can prod him if you want?
he is a big bugger
-
A car will make it as far as the car park
the access roads are very steep into the event.
-
Funnily enough my rear window didnt go back up, when I got back from the Howling Wolf event,
guess what I will be doing this week, it only takes 20 mins a side.
-
A good day,
for once we didnt spend all day on one SS so we got to see a lot more of the action.
-
er no I meant the AWDC event at Kirton,
do you know anyone who is going? for a relay?
-
I have one I bought for my disco (disco parts I think), and then never used, (got a southdown tankguard) can deliver to this weekends AWDC event for £100.
-
Its not much of a bigger job to take the whole wing off, as the access is far better, and a coat of rustproof can be splashed about.
-
I just paid £660, but that included a new head.
I didnt have time to take it off the road and do it myself.

I usually wave at Landrovers, even the farmers ones. but I know most of the local farmers.
Anti sway bar removal

The anti roll bars only make a couple of inches of difference, but a whole lot on the road.
I would (and did) keep them.
