ok so does anyone know the actual size of the bolts?

basically as it says iv just got my first warn 8274 and im having a bumper made and want to know the size of the bolts i will need??? i will be fitting an ally fairlead too. any advice would be great and a thank you will follow

right so iv been having this problem with my 90. flattened the battery when the alternator failed so i charged the battery fully and changed the alternator. next morning i went to start the car and there wasnt even enough power to make my LED for the alarm flash. so again i charged the battery and started the car straight away when it was done, i noticed that the battery light didnt come on when i turned the key, it stayed off. so....next i tested the alternator charge at the battery and it was fine so i discounted that, tried all my lights and they all work even the interior ones. i wanted to re-do all my winch wiring anyway so all that came out to until all that was left was the positive and negative from the main loom. put a fully charged battery on the car and next day dead as a dodo and my patience is very thin with it. only thing i havnt tried is my towing socket thats new but its the original wiring. anyone who can understand this rant please help. any help or advice would be massively appreciated

yes the shcks are +3 as far as i know

right at the moment my defender 90 has 3inch of lift but the shocks that are fitted give me naff all articulation. i could fit 2inch drop mounts but it still wouldnt be very good. the shocks at the minute are tuff backs all round i think...... all i was wondering is what shocks people would recommend for a 3inh lift to give good articulation on the back axle. also on a budget thanks for any advice in advance

as some may already know i will be looking for a new winch to fit my challenge style bumper... i was just looking for peoples thoughts on a good budget winch for the front of my 90 that wil get me through a couple of challenges in the future maybe... and has anyone got one to sell? a bit unsure on wheather this should go here or wanted but hey ho here we go.... cheers gaz489

litch i like the sound of your option but i know absolutely nothing about car electrics.... how hard is it to do....... can you speak english anymore to me? lol if anythingf mechanical fails great anything to do with electrics not so good lol

i was wondering....... from someone who has done it, the easiest way of putting a cut off on my 90 to cut the engine? i want to start and compete and this is one of the must haves i see. thanks for any help and advice in advance gaz489

its the regulator that will have gone and my towing electrics were both actually there was some bare wires where the cables ran across the cross member and the socket was crushed

my towing electrics were shorting out on mine a while ago it was the grey plug and was sending current back to the alternator causing them to blow. i would say check towing electrics first especially if there is any slight damage to the plugs

well if its blowing black smoke its definately oil somewhere but good luck anyway

if it was blowing that much black smoke and the temp was going up check the turbo hasnt collapsed before deciding to replace the whole engine the oil seals in the turbo mayhave gone sending the oil straight into your exhaust

if there is nothing wrong with the prop id say just change the uj it will work out quite a lot cheaper i think my uj was 20quid fitted at local landy place thats my honest opinion anyway lol

right a couple of problems iv got. firstly when i accelerate to about 25mph the truck start juddering quite bad from the front and doesnt stop until i drop below 25mph or take my fot off the gas. even if i manage to get to 40mph as soon as i take my foot off the accelerator the vibrating stops. secondly my battery light was coming on so i bought a new alternator to try it worked for about 5 minutes then light came back on. now its working intermittent the light is on all the time but has 2 brightnesses one when the alt is charging and im getting nearly 17v and one when its not then im getting a reading of 13v and you can see the lights go dim when this happens there is a clicking coming from somewhere too. i have a split charge system could this be a relay of some sort? thanks for any help in advance gaz489

are there any younger drivers out there with a ninety insured with mods declared at a decent price? i have a 1997 300tdi 90 and the insurance im paying at the minute is a bit rediculous to say the least it runs out in a few months i will then be 22 and have a years no claims on the car. if there isnt a drastic reduction from the company im with i will definately be changing oh and its adrian flux
