  1. I had an issue insuring my 90 van - I had it with one company (Marks & Spencer) for 18 months until I rang to change a driver and then they decided it was a commercial and said they couldn't insure it. After a bit of jumping up and down on my part they agreed to refund the full year's insurance to me but God knows what would have happened if I'd have had a prang. I'm now with Adrian Flux and they were fine and it's covered for towing and greenlaning. They did want an immobiliser fitted and accepted a secret switch.
  2. I had mine fitted into the headlining just to the side and behind the head position on both sides. Works fine for me!
  3. I had a similar thing but I got in touch with Bill at www.paintman.co.uk, sent him a washer with the colour and he matched it. He was very quick with posting.
  4. has not set their status

  5. I am just having my 90 van changed to a truck cab basically because I have squished my roof so badly with trialling and greenlaning. I'm having a chequer plate lift up lid fitted to the rear bin (using range rover tailgate struts) - so I get some dry storage. The price of truck cabs at the moment seems to be quite high - seen some going for around £300 on Ebay - usually they are around £150. Not sure why?
  6. I would say it depends on what sort of off-roading you are doing. I have a 90 van with no windows, which was a blessing! With the trialling and greenlaning I have done, I have managed to square off the passenger side roof at the rear. I've seen a fair few alpine and side windows getting popped too. As storage is not important to me, I am now having the 90 truck cabbed.
  7. You might get that sort of price down South at the moment - there's a rush on them and they are getting good prices these last couple of weeks, with the snow but fuel price increase might put a stop to it.
  8. Thank you for the replies. I'll have a surf now I've got some names, although adding new numbers into thye mix is confusing. Cheers
  9. Thank you - now I've got some names of sites I'll have a surf!
  10. Thank you for the reply. I'll try them. I suppose I'm looking to spend max £100 and all I need it to do is keep me in contact with greenlaning buddys. Oh and be able to take aerial off when trialling. I've heard of a Midland radio but no idea what model would suit. Any suggestions please?
  11. Does anyone have any recommendations for CB radio, aerial and mount to go on my 90 truck cab please? Cheers
  12. I was hoping someone may be able to recommend a 750 tyre, and where to get them from. I currently run Colway Atacamas 750 x 16R on my 90 but I understand that Colway went out of business a couple of years ago. I want to replace them with a similar type tread which suit me for RTVs and towing a caravan. Cheers
  13. Can anyone recommend any pay and play sites in Kent and East Sussex please?
