  2. I'd say as the others, paint white, run half cool white and daylight tubes, clean them once a year, we have on 40m2 9 double 5' Armatures plus double ones right over the workbench, you have to read on the tubes what light the give, if you know some one who works at a hospital, then they might be able to supply you with the onec they use, as they have a very good colour as I remember they are 98% close to give the right colour.

Or you can nick them, at one off your frekvent visits there.....ops Hat and coat, I am gone.....:-D

  3. Hi Dan

I am on to, BIG SMILEY, I have for the last week googled a lot on the OM606, strange isnt it......

I do not know of any other way to get that much power at that price..

I will go for a ZF gearbox from an Iveco they can cope with the NM's and if one chose the right one you will have a granny first and couple it to a LT230 in some way, the beaty about the ZF's in the serie that I am looking at is that they are cable operated so one can get the gear lever right where you want it.

  4. Hello Mr Slow

Here in Denmark it is only recommended to use winter tires not a requirement but if you do it must be on 4 wheels and regardless to tyre there must be at least 1,6mm tread

Re Lpg. there is hardly any stations if any at all.

    Have a nice trip

    Kind regards

    Ole.

  5. Hi Dan

We have been using POM for 4 years ( and we are on the third one now)I have made it so that we can turn it round and wear it on the opposit side ours is just a square block, 70mm thick, with a 20mm hole and then a big radius trumpet, we got the winch in the rear

And yes wire cabel cuts as if that was the intention

    Kind regards

    Ole

PS I think POM is polyoxymethylen isn't it ?

  6. Howdy.

Not all mech winches have that, our König winch with worm 1:6 ratio can be pulled out by hand if pto is not engaged or main box is in neutral, but I guess that 1:36 wich is more normal will have sifficient brake power.

Now if you look at the Viking winch Soren at his friends have just finished there ar not brake power at all in neutral, but I can imagine they are already working on that.

    Ole.

I have to correct myself it is not 1:6 but 1:9 sorry

  8. HI

We run one in The Kitten, it is a 88" LWT weighing 1550kg combat ready (6 point roll-cage 4 waffleboards and much more), gearbox is One Ton so pretty low geared.

In that car it is a fine match and we are within regs, but fuel ecnomy is as V8, max speed is 55mph due to the low gear, it is a nice old school engine easy to fix and so,BUT in anyting but a 88" I would not recommend it, it is though a very fine upgrade in a 88".

    Thats just my 5´p

    Regards

    Ole

  9. That looks cool, easier to get to than Ladoga which makes life easier time/money wise.

    Just reading the rules:

Does the winch have to be electric?

I can't see any regulations about tyre sizes, axles, vehicle classes, etc.?

    Hi John

There are two classes, Adventure and Extreme.

What you have read on winches is for Adventure class, in Extreme class most cars have a F****** fast rear mount mech winch and a smaller front mount electric ie Warn XP or similar for the technical stuff off course some also have a centermount winch elctric winch.

And yes there is no regs well almost no regs only a few on safety and so, here in denmark we have a meny teams that did go there years back.

Magam used to be a very very good event I do not know about it these days.

    Ole
