We are booked into http://www.faskally.co.uk/ but, no problems with the motorhome and trailer. Read a thread somewhere that there might be a field available on one of the farms think it was a thread on the Devon4x4 site

worked on a motor previously that only did it in reverse cos i the way the shoes were sitting & sticking,
also did same kinda thing on my racer when the centre diff exploded thus locking the difflock solid

Im organising a rolling road day at dastek in dalgety bay fife (scotland) on there 4wd rolling road
the basic outline is as follows
£30 to get on the rollers for the 2 power runs
MINIMUM of 20 Vehicles to make it happen,
Date is the 7th of april
LRE have confirmed that the will be in attendance for a mag feature ,

fitted mine to the vent flat,was originally destined for the bumper & by sheer luck it was nice size to fit on the vent

well its gonna have to be road legal as he has an entry on the muddy truckers which has approx 80 road miles

As far as i know the changes they made in 1989-1990 was to throw the TD in the scrap bin & Fit TDi's

Okay I am back looking at the problems but to cl;arify the white smoke is only when started up then it clears to black smoke when the accel is pressed, the thing is it doesn't smoke constantly,if i depress the accel slowly it appears ok but when I floor it or rev quickley then the smkoe appears.
The engine is still juddering/ lacking power/ misfiring however I can describe it when under load.........
This is really becoming problematic so anyway todays tasks are:
Check fuel regulator......
Drop tank and remove the pump and see what I have there!
Failing this I have run out of ideas and will have to succomb to the useless LR garages here and let them loose on it!
I will update later today re the results and what else I have done

Cant see anywhere if its a disco or a defender....Ill take a guess that its a disco in which case there is a hatch in the rear floor to remove the fuel pump

I was browsing ebay the other day and came across a company selling genuine garrett turbo rebuild kits for around £50 - I was always led to believe this was strictly a specilist job but looking around the net there are a number of guides on how to strip/clean and replace the bearings & seals.
I know that shaft/impellors have to be specially balanced but apart from that the rest looks quite easy and of course if your shaft has sufferd no damage it should not need re-balancing anyway
not a bad option and could save you around £250 - anyone tried one of these? the company has a good feedback rating 100% over 300 purchases
no doubt there will be various opinions and if you can afford it go the recon route etc what do you think?

Run no silencers on my 200tdi 90 & its passed 2 mots fine,got a nice bark to it
