  1. I have been using mainstealers lately as they are now offering non genuine landrover parts at decent prices!!!!! this is ottons in salisbury, so im not sure if any other dealers are doing the same.

  2. i would say get the insa special track, my friend has these on his disco and they look good and do the job so well B) and are wearing very well on the road too. His week envolves driving everyday with them on then pay and break most weekends , as soon as my tyres have worn out i will be buying some B)

  3. I've got this in the garage, makes a great work mat for lying on the drive too.

Pux - i have just removed some genuine rubber footwell matt bits from a bulkhead i'm scrapping, they are both driver and passenger side, foam backed thich black dimpley rubber bits and they join in the middle behind the fuse box in a 90 - if they fit and you are interested then make me an offer :)

Cheers for the offer SMO but my footwell's and and gear box tunnel etc etc are all custom made ;) i think either im going to go with the load space paint or the stuff from B&Q, but as fridge freezer said when you glue stuff down it trap's moisture etc etc and landy's dont like it up emm :o cheers for the input so far guy's so keep it coming, im going to make a start next week and rip the inside out and start again
  4. No photos but FFS don't glue things to it, and anything that can absorb moisture or trap mud is to be avoided. What are you trying to achieve - comfort, warmth, quiet...?
hehe i was not going to put nice plush rugg in grrrrrr errrr :lol::lol::lol: no just trying to smarten it up make it look neat as at the moment chequer plate cost's to much for me  so was looking at rubber matting like you get in the tool box's etc etc ;)
  5. I think i know the answer before I start but I'm just making sure before I dish out the shekels:

One of my rear shocks appears to be weeping (Pro Comp 9000) and the MOT is due in a couple of weeks. Is this a fail?

Pro Comps seem to be the cheapest gas struts around - any other recommendations without breaking the bank? I've got a 2" lift on an RRC.

Yes i belive it is a fail for mot, when i had my disco 6mths ago one of my pro comps failed it had been on there for a 2years so i rang explorer who i got them from, and they replaced them stright away :D they did not even want the old one back ;) i had the new shock next day too. So too that end i will always by procomp aslong as they give me good after market service like they have done :D
  6. A lot of it depends on the workmanship too, and the quality of muppet you can find to pay for it  if you find someone who has more money than sense and thinks it's cool you can flog it for loads.

The thing is you can make something that *looks* the part but is held together with string and breaks down every 5 minutes or you can make something that doesn't look special but is a fantastic vehicle and the first one will sell for more most of the time.

You're better off selling the mods separately - a winch is worth more on its own on eBay than it is bolted to your truck. Same for protection, wheels and tyres, pretty much any bling that you can unbolt!

emmm very true about the unbolting of goodies :blink: ill give it that the person who built this did very well.......... I might just keep it run it through the summer and then see, im just really missing driving a landy everyday :blink::blink::( cheers guys for your help but keep the info coming thanks :P
  7. Well, the most important thing is, you must have been happy to pay that price, or you would not have it now?

The other thing to do is put it on ebay with a silly reserve, and see what happens, then pull it before the end?

I saw a very tidy 100 truckcab last summer, based on defender bits, 90, with a correctly shortened 110 tub with no chassis reduction, sprayed in burgundy, that was up around the £4500 - £5000 mark with a buy it now of £5500 ish. It was a while ago, so i am searching the recesses of the brain. Never saw it readvertised, so i presume it sold. It had no offroad mods, just bfg muds on mods.

Emmmm i might just give eblag a go for a price guide, lately im really beginning to hate eblag too  what to do hey
  8. IMHO NO Hybrid that you build wikll ever give you anything but a loss when you sell it :(

Sometimes its actaully worth more in bits (what I did to mine !)

I would say its worth what someone will pay, but I would say around £2 to £3000

    Nige

Cheers Nige the price you are saying sounds right to me  its a lovely truck and such fun to drive its just not a everyday truck :o and thats what im missing so, im thinking of selling the hybrid and the stupid jelly mould car and lump it into a nice unmolested 90 well untill i get me oily mits on it :D
