  3. Hello Mrs Bass here, as you are probably aware I am not a frequent visitor to this forum but I will try to get on here as much as possible to answer any questions you may have regarding this event. I would like to thank everyone for the support they have given and hope this event is as successful as we hope it will be. We will be confirming the venues hopefully within the next week once I have had confirmation from all of the Landowners. If you have any questions or need me to post an information pack to you rather than e-mail please don't hesitate to call me on 01252 325930 or 07836 713677. My email is sales@challenger4x4.com and the return address for any completed forms with cheques is Challenger 4x4, Stadium Works, Oxenden Road, Tongham, Surrey. GU101AJ. Hope this isn't too much information at once. Looking forward to speaking to you all. Lucy xx
  4. Basically we will decide wether you are novice, intermediate or expert by what your previous experience in challenge events is, for example if you have competed in the Tay or Muddy Truckers you would be considered an experienced challenge driver. Alot of consideration will go into this and we aim to keep everyone happy as well as keeping the whole event fair.
  5. Thanks Chris .... Looking forward to it already I cant wait !! Paul
  6. there may be a date clash next year with Tay There may be a clash with the Outback Challenge Morocco too...as there is talk of it being September/October!! It was difficult enough getting the missus to allow me to do all three events in a year let alone all three in a month
  7. Any chance of making a class 4 for this one Neil.... My 30 year old Lightweight is up for it but Dom hasnt been out much this year! Paul
  8. The latest i have heard is that...(alledgedly) the workshop will carry on as a L/R workshop under different ownership & all mail order, stock etc will carry on from a different location again under different ownership. But still unconfirmed..... The suspense is killing me!!
  9. Rumour has it that Scorpion Racing have gone bust! Workshop closed,Shoroom closed, stores emptied, the lot!!! Can anyone confirm this?
  10. Loved every minute of it.... Pleasure to share the experience with the other UK teams who all added to such a great week, Many thanks to Aghostino & Jonny English for helping us through the language barrier & any other problems we had, your help was very much appreciated!! Much has been said already about the stages being too easy or short & i would totally agree as on day one 20 of the teams including all 3 from the UK were given a 40 minute penalty (2400 points)which pretty much put us out of contention as the vast majority of the remaining stages were only a few minutes long ( Jim completed one in 7 seconds!!!) so made it very difficult to catch up but on the bright side it gave us the oppurtunity to have a real good laugh & get to meet other competitors!! Myself & Nev were humbled to win the team spirit award as it is such a large part of the ethos of the whole "Rainforest" event & voted for by the fellow competitors...Thank you it means a lot!! Highlights.... Jack Daniels, Elton John, Mooning, Jonny English, EO !! Gilles, Watching the sunrise!! Aghostino, Trophy, Elastic band of doom! I would recommend it to any one... Cant wait for next year!! Obrigado...Gracias
