  1. It has all gone a bit pair shaped as far as the results go, Dan was told last night that they were leading by six hours so very exciting. The boys didn't get back to camp until 5am and were the only team to complete the stages yesterday. Anyway they got up this morning to find they were actually in six place and two teams that are ahead of them have scores for two days that they didn't even compete in so nobody know what on earth is going on now. I am so disappointed for them, hopefully the scores will get sorted and the best team will win. But they are all completely exhausted and the score thing put a bit of a downer on it today. Lucy x
  2. Oh my god!!!! Nobody told me it was that dangerous, roll on tommorrow night!!! Lucy x
  3. Hello Lucy here, It was a hard day yesterday! The had a 60K stage to complete and one of the sections was particularly difficult. Paul, Andy, Nev and Adi took a look at it and Paul decided that he felt it was too dangerous to attempt, not sure wether he had made the right decision or not the whole team didn't do the section, potentionally jepodising their 2nd place position. Anyway when they got back to camp at around 9pm last night they were told that nobody had done this particular section apart from the Russians (who were first) and they tore the front axle off of their truck and are now out of the competition. Which means.............Paul, Nev, Andy and Adi went out today is 1st place !!!!!!!!!The car is doing really well and Dan is working so hard to do running repairs and servicing overnight while the boys get some sleep. The whole team is getting on and working really well together and Andy is even having outdoor showers!!!!! I haven't heard anything yet today but will post as soon as I do. It is the last day tommorrow and hopefully it will be a fairly easy day as the presentations etc are tommorrow night so I would imagine it will be a fairly early finish. Speak soon, keep fingers crossed! Lucy x
  4. Hi, Team Challenger4x4 are definately in but Paul is in Romania at the mo, I have just been told that I need to confirm we are definately in. Please call me on 07836 713677 if you need anything else from me. Thanks Lucy xx
  5. Hello, They had their long day yesterday and didn't return to camp til way past midnight!! Had a few steering issues half way through a 100 mile stage but they were only the second team to have completed the course so going really well. Went out today in second, so getting exciting now!!! Lucy x
  6. Hi Lucy here, Paul, nev, Andy and Adi started this morning 3rd, great news. Andy has broken a steering box but Paul was carrying a spare so they have changed that and are back in. There was quite a big gap between them and the team behind them so hopefully they haven't caught up too much. Speak soon Lucy xx
  7. More news!!!! Zolly has had a few breakages and has only just come in so don't know what they are doing yet. Dom is now teaming up with one of the muddy bottom lot and taking part non competitively. Paul and Andy think they have missed one check point and don't know at this stage what the penalty for this will be as yet. They have a long day tomorrow. Lucy x
  8. Hello Lucy Here, News from the boys; Alot of pretty impressive vehicles, the team who won the the Russain eqilivent of this event are in and a few other big teams have entered so it isnt going to be an easy ride!!! Day 1 Prolouge, they went out in team order, Paul,Nev, Andy and Adrian are team 33 so they had a bit of a wait. Alot of teams before them had alot of troubles, braking bits, rolling and generally taking aolt of time to finish the stage, team 33 did the section in 4 minutes and were very happy with this result. The prolouge stage determines what order you will start in on the following day so they were hopeful that they would be in the top five. Day 2 Started in 4th place which they were really happy with. Dom, Vincent, Sebastian and his co-driver had some catastophic vehicle breakages and are out of the competition along with quite a few other teams. They had a few quite challenging sections, rock sections, reveens etc. The vehicles held together really well apart from one plasma on Pauls rear winch breaking sending him careering down a bank!!!!! They had caught up the 3 teams in front and were they are faster on the speed sections our teams are making up for it in the technical stuff!!! They finished the day by about 3.30pm so got to give the vehicles a good check, shower and relax. Zolly, Lee, Mark and his co-driver hadn't yet come in when I spoke to him at 5.30 so no news yet from them. Tommorrow they will again start the day in place order tomorrow and they will be happy to still be in fiorth as it is easier when car have been through before you. More updates tommorrow but all good for now!!! P.S. If anyone cares I went to see Take That last night and they were fab!!!!!!!! Lucy xx
  9. Hi all.. Does anyone know for sure how far the "trailer park" is from the competition area ? My dilemma is do i use a 300Tdi 110 as my tow car which has same engine, gearbox, suspension etc as my comp car in fact a complete car of spares! Or do i use a chipped TD5 Discovery which has quite a bit more power & comfort for the long journey but has no parts in common with the comp car! If the car park is fairly close by & the 110 is accessible if i need to rape it for spares...then i will use that, but if it is miles away & locked up all week.....well you get the idea!! Any clues? Paul
  10. I would never do such a thing!!!!! I have heard from Barry this morning and Steve is as well as can be expected, he has broken the small bone it the leg in two places and the large bone has a clean break just above the knuckle at the ankle. He has had to have an operation this morning to have it pinned and will be out of action for at least 6 weeks!! Paul and I wish him well and hope he is back home soon xxx Lucy x
  11. Oops!!! Really sorry Mark, you scored 359 for the special stage which would have bumped your score up to 1399 which has put you in 9th position. Sorry to you and the other people who have now gone down a place because of my error. I would just like to say a special thankyou to Mark and Adrian for all your help with the incident, if we had a spirit of the event trophy you would have got it!!!! P.S. Has anyone heard how Steve is? Lucy x
  12. Back on a lighter note...what do you think to the special stages so far? The intention is that they are a level playing field, whether or not you have been competing for 10 years or 10 minutes you have an equal chance...and fun!! Paul
  13. To the impatient people: Remember every one has to start somewhere and I sure at some point someone has given you a little help along the way which you still remember to this day. Be the good guys, it will get you far!!!! Lucy x
  14. Hello Lucy here, I am a little disappointed to hear these negative comments and I really don't want it to put people off coming to our events. Also negative comments like this could put off new people entering further rounds and obviously we need to have as many competitors as possible. I know this is a competition but the clue is in the title 'Clubman', I really don't want people coming away feeling annoyed with anyone or anything to do with a event we are hosting. We do have a lack of marshalls which makes it quite difficult for everyone to be monitored at all times so if there is anyone that wants to volunteer their services that that would be appreciated so we can try to eliminate these issues. I would also appreciate it if people would tell me of moans they have, this is the first I have heard of it and I would like to try and nip it the bud in future. You can call me of better still inform me or a marshall on the day and I will have a word! I think it may be a testosterone thing!!!!!
  15. Hello all, thanks to you all for once again a very enjoyable weekend. You may have noticed from the scores that I made a bit of a booboo and gave out the wrong prize to Class 2 3rd place. I put chris Kelly in this place but as he kindly pointed out to me he infact upgraded to Class 1 so unfortunately was not the 3rd place winner, this prize in fact should have gone to Ben and Martin Champion, I did run around trying to find them but failed. So Ben and Martin Champion I am very sorry that you didn't get your moment of glory but very well done from us all and at the next round I will give you your trophies that you have won. Apologies again. Sorry to Chris and Jason for building them up and the letting them down. See you soon. Lucy xxxx
