  1. Here in DK you wouldn't get far with tyres sticking outside the arches. It's totally illegal, and you will be pulled over if it's directly visible. All of the wheel must be inside the arches when in straight-ahead position. It's the same thin in Sweden and Germany. /tony
  2. I know for a fact that on old cranes here in DK they use a belt for the brake. It's an interesting solution, where a wheel(you could say a drum where the outside is used instead of the inside), is surrounded by a belt made of steel. When you apply the brake, you tension the belt, which grips the wheel/drum and keeps it from rotating. It's a very simple mechanical construction, but it can easily be put in some sort of enclosure to keep it free fom mud etc. Might be worth a thought. /tony

  4. Thanks, guys, I'll have a look at it later. I do have raised suspension and worn bushings, so that might be the culprit. It did do it before I raised the suspension though. Thanks for the replies, /tony

Hi, 110" 300Tdi UN ROW-spec STW The other day I was driving in the countryside N of Aarhus, Denmark -where we drive in the right side of the road Speed was about 60mph and the road turned slightly left, not a sharp turn, and not a problem for any car at that speed So, coming into the turn, I steered slightly to the left, and all of a sudden I was in the opposite lane To my luck there was noone there... The car oversteered quite a lot. Later I noticed that when I turn the wheel approx. 10deg to the left, it has a "dead" spot where the wheels don't react. What causes this behavior? TIA /tony
  6. Hello, If you have oily threads, then that's the reason. Clean them out and see if that helps. Otherwise try to replace the bolts. /tony
