  3. It will sart again 100% , as said you may have to change/reprogram the correct software type with nanocom and possibily make secruity function again. But it will work

Or if you are willing to reprogram the software here is a virgin file that will repair the damaged data on the chip but will need nanocom to write the correct software for your car after you resolder to the pcb. Basicly this file will get you communications to the ecu again, then use nanocom to correct the software you need. www.bellautoservices.co.uk/Virgin-No-Vin-NNN000120.rar The rar has a password you will need to email or pm me for it. I will also be removing the file from me server in 1 day so i hope you get it in time If you have a nanocom and are botherd about using it then tell me what software you want creating and ill make it special for you.   7. You can buy that stuff they use on the floors of the Ifor Williams horse trailers and also in richardson trailers in various sizes. http://www.richardsonrice.co.uk/ Ive used it in the past and its very robust.
  8. There much the same as the 300TDi just a few more wires to be honest. If you have done a 300TDI then i cant see you having a problem with the TD5. If you need some trickery to get rid of the horible BCU that is in the discovery so you can go back to basics for your race car give me a shout And of course if you need mapping i can help to.   11. If you remove the 10AS and join wires pin 10 crank Enable and pin 11 GND the car will crank with no remote fob, so with the added unit inside the ecuu it should start no problems. I did not know that you had the remote fob was originaly used on your car Andrew did not tell me ;( i apologize. Please still send me email if you have any problems. 10AS.pdf
  12. Hi Ced is this your defender ?? Give me a private email to bellautos (AT) hotmail.com then i can send you a picture or discription of what is needed if you are stuck. I personaly use a different method of removing security than Andrew does with the little boxes fitted in your ecus i remove it without adding components. see attached file , regards pete
  13. The final CAD drawings for the casting and the needed machining are been drawn as we speek , i think final casting/production is going to be around 8-12 weeks yet. We are also working on special actuators for its control for ease of setup and this is taking time also. Regards Pete

  15. The switching remap will probabaly cost less than most other landrover tuners sell a standard remap for Of cousre if you choose to have 2 tuned maps then the cost would go up slightly, but if it map1=STD and map2=Tuned then the cost will be affordable

Well after boggeling and frying my brain with electronics and cutting my wrists a few times while doing it, im finaly proud to be the first to produce a switching 2 stage remap working on the TD5 ecu It can be switched while the engine is off or on , it can be switched at any rpm of speed etc etc. I have some more work to do on its security before its for sale on the market but hopefully with a fresh brain tomorrow ill get a step closer to finishing this. The price for the kit will be available soon , iwill keep you posted. i would realy need the car here to gain the best from the kit. it is possibile for you to fit but if you wanted the maping it would not be its best if i were only sent the ecu for tuning. it is always the best to have the car for electronic tuning. regards pete

  19. If it were ok when it was originaly done then you may have a car problem, mapping does not alter but cars do go faulty. It may be worth a phone call to Andrew. What spec is your car ?? Regards pete
  20. There will be plenty to go around We can all have one. I will post some details of the switching remap results tomorrow , hopefully i will have completed its manafacturer
  21. You will also need to connect one of the wires from the 10AS to GND to enable the start relay.

  23. Ill try and work it so it will use a switch to GND inside the cab for ease of install, also if the switch or any of its wires failed then it wont damage the ecu or its switching device. The switching device itself will be installed inside the ecu for safe keeping so to speek. Regards pete
  24. Yes these are along my thaughts also eg, comp safari V mild or tricky ,the main thing is that hopefully you will have the choice of remaps and be able to switch it when needed. While the engine is running I suppose the limits are endless to the variations that are possibile with it. With some final testing i will have the first ever switching TD5 finished this week so ill let you all know how it goes. Regards pete
  25. Just to add for some response, Would any of you be interested in a Switching remap EG 2 maps inside one ecu with a switch to enable the map of your choice ? One for the wife and one for you sort of thing loool Regards Pete
