  1. I believe that the original tropical roof has 6 vents that can be opened or left open. These additional vents will aid the circulation of air, and 'suck' the hot air out of the vehicle. ...or at least that is the story behind it I believe... It is more for the extra vents that I would do it. Airco gives me terrible headaches.
  2. I have to change the roof of my Defender, after vandals decided that it was the best place for a Riverdance re-enactment... As I have issues with airco and summers are getting hot, I was wondering whether the Defender roof could be retro-fitted with the top layer of the Series Tropical roof. Does anyone have pictures, in and outside, of a Series tropical roof? Did anyone ever fit one to a Defender without changing the window frame to Series?
  3. How long did it take to get the 110 out then? Should have been much easier seeing you had such a job getting Guy out...
  4. Here is the Reference manual in PDF format. The section you want is the one from page 71 till 78
  5. As far as I understood, not having the German manual, they speak of the Photo Unit that needs replacing. There is a doide in that unit that is busted. Try to check the 'online manual' on how to deactivate the toner error message. Did you manage to change the toner without using the proper way to do this? Remember, I did not read the manual) All this can be disregarded if yours is not the C1100 Epson...
  6. Now, that's a nice anti-burglary device... If only they would not die inside the car I would be happy...
  7. Unless there is a 'NO'-sign at the beginning of a track, you are allowed to drive any offroad track in France. Please keep in mind local rules like not going into a forrest when it is a really dry season, etc. Thread lightly and give way to pedestrians, bikes, etc. The French are very forthcoming when it comes to freedom of movement. PS: Avoid military terrains. There is no such thing as slightly being allowed to use them. Nothing like the Salisbury Plain! but then France is somewhat bigger, and there are plenty of offroad tracks. I believe that one of the French magazines actually publishes a free roadbook every month. I'll check which one. You can also back-order these roadbooks... after which you can drive the country virtually offroad (Or at least 75% of it!)
  8. One of these 'eco-warriors' ruined my 110, whilst innocently parked in France They ripped up my seats (ALL of them) Knifed my dashboard and roof lining Danced on my roof Keyed the sides of my car Dented the sides (little dents, but still...) Really dented the front wings Total damage will have to be decided by the insurance experts, but I calculated a good 6 to 8 thousand euros... And they did not even take my radio! (So no simple burglar) When I get my wheels on them, I will just stay there and park on top of themuntil they rot away!
  9. Plus the one on this cover is a Portuguese copy... no original.
  10. and many more can be found at The Sticker Giant
