  4. i'd be very supprised if this thing was intended to have it's seals replaced as it looks like its pressed and riveted together - i'm on the staffs/shrops borders but it's not to big to post - send me a PM (if that works on here) if your interested they do make very good veg oil heaters btw - not that i used this one for that

  7. The bottom rad pipe SHOULD be a lot cooler than the top one, if it's not then yer rad isnt doing what it's supposed to be doing IE cooling the fluid
  8. couple of hours max helps if you have someone to help as it's quite a heavy lump
  9. thats nonsense - it's not the best engine LRs ever produced and you'll not be winning any races with it but it you look after it and don't abuse it they will last well in excess of 200k without requiring big works

It's actually called an Oryx Portasol and the design of it hasnt changed since it was introduced probably 15 years ago - it was orginally developed by a couple of Irish brothers who worked for Bosch on their handsfree hair curlers, it uses the same technology. I used to be a development enginer for a company called Greenwood Electronics in Reading who had the worldwide rights to sell them - and they sold zillions and zillions including some branded ones for BT http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/Mechanical,+Offi....jsp?sku=070421 And i think they are cheaper now than way back then.
