  1. from your write up it sounds like the rear uj's have gone. take the rear prop off put it in diff lock drive it, if that stop the problem put new uj's on and put the prop back on. if it dosen't sort it i'd look at the rear axle again
  2. for peace of mind i'd put a new one on as it's not a nice feeling when they open even more so if your on the motorway and the mot testers don't like them doing it
  3. my 90 was like that just after ther mot i'm pritty shore it's the clutch hitting the rivets or the pressure plate starting to brake up. but as i'm taking the engine out i putting a 200tdi disco so i haven't got it out to have a look.
  4. as you are were you are you could join somerset and wiltshire landrover club they do club meets most months

  6. i do alot of towing. i've also done a little driving of hgv's (off the road). just last week I drove my disco and flat bed trailer to marlborough wilts to pick up a disco and back, and i'd do it again and again. but when it comes to towing cattle to market it a hole diffrent game cars on trailers dont move every time a lorry go past.

  8. i know someone who had to take there traler test a mouth or so back, and it cost him almost 500 quid! i'm so lucky i passed my teast in december 1996..
