The expression is also used over here in LR circles

No problem for the upload. I have a superfast connection (at work)
I have been rethinking the whole thing again and probably I will rename all files to their unique publicationnumber only, put them in a database with keywords, years, model etc and then I can generate index files like I want and put these online
You can pm or mail (henk at telenet dot be) me the details for the upload for a tryout
-
Total size of manuals before cleanup was over 100Gb, if you have so much space ok for me
I also collect calibrated maps for Oziexplorer, if you have space for them even better
-
Maybe not the right spot to post it but feel free to move it to a better place.
I am collecting LR manuals since years but discovered that 50% or more from what you download are doubles due to changed names etc so I started a kind of indexing.
Now I use this code: Model - PublicationNumber - Language - Edition - PublicationYear - Title
Below a list of documents for the Freelander1 I have done so far
Questions I have:
1. Any suggestions to eventually improve the naming?
2. Suggestions for online space where to put it?
Regards, Henk

I just got myself a proper hydraulic press and now I am looking for the exact dimensions of each bush to make a kind of mal so I can press them out/in easily
Found so far:
Anyone that made already something?

why do you need a crossmember made from 6mm steel? arent the factory ones made from 2.5~2.7mm steel, doubled in some areas and crush tubed??
These are open so less mud and a lot easier to clean
-
Europe Assistance is no option?
-
Need a rear chassis cross member for a TD5 so contacted Clive (Black Sheep) but he ceased production he just mailed me.
Is there someone else who makes these in 6mm?
-
Has someone done the conversion from a Safety Devices rollcage of a 5 doors 110 to a hardtop 110?
Question is if I can use the internal hoop behind the first seats or not?

Got a mail from the provider that one or more files on my site cause copyright problems.
So I ask them to be more specific so I can remove those files but that seems to be impossible
So for the moment the account is suspended!
Sorry for this...

Try www.T7design.co.uk as they have all sorts of options...
Hope this helps!
Interesting site, thanks

To fit a big snorkel on a LHD TD5, the heater matrix it in the way so as it also bent a bit due to an accident in a previous life, I looked for alternative heaters here on the forum.
Found an old article referring to a Zephyr matrix (http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=49775) and with help of google found this one: http://www.mikuniheating.com/Details.cfm?ProdID=165
It looks more compact than the standard one and price is not too bad either.
Anyone here experience with fitting another matrix heater in his Def?
-
So I found a nice snorkel at Billing that starts at the top with 3.5" and then goes into the side with 3" diameter but there is no way on a LHD to get the 3" tube beyond the heater. Stuck again ...

For those interested, I now have this MAP sensor in my TD5 together with an adapted ecu so no need for a boostbox: http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/vw-3-bar-map-manifold-pressure-sensor-large-probe-038-906-051-a.html:
-
Doug, also interested, maybe too late?
-
@Simon: would a flat wall like a silicone hose improve the flow compared to one with a metal spiral in (that is normally not flat inside) or do we talk about minimal differences?
Anyway problem solved: I was using the original MAP sensor together with an ecu adapted for a VNT. Another sensor together with a little bit more turbo pressure makes it a different car
-
Modified the interior of the airbox and now (still without snorkel) I have the feeling it pulls better
Tomorrow test with snorkel
-
Removed the snorkel completely: so just have the short pipe on the airbox: not much difference,
Removed then the hi-clone thing inside the airbox also without result
The waste gate actuator is rather difficult the move and adjusting the screw did not work as I do not have an allen key long enough
Trying another remapped ecu did not work either as my old nanocom started creating problems
Very unsatisfied of my evening...
-
My setup: Allisport intercooler, VNT and remap from Pete (BAS), boost box not yet connected
All hoses are silicone, all filters new, new MAF, connector of MAF tested and gets current
Manometer connected after the VNT and it reads 15 PSI max (+/- 1 bar),
So tonight I will try removing the snorkel and also see if waste gate works/moves
-
Mmm, the hose is a bit smaller than the entrance at the airbox so I fixed it with silicone but it is indeed a good and easy option option. Will try
