hi guys, that box isnt mine but a picture of one from remote keys site. is was just to say what type i have. the two wires that are cut i have found out the are soldered together.??? my central locking doesnt work either so maybe the two are related problems. ill have tho dig into this. i really dont care about the alarm as such but need the central locking as i have a dog gaurd and its a real pain to get into the boot if its locked. cheers guys.

hmmm, thats a good veiw. never thought about the board inside. how much did it cost for them to re programme your fob mate? might just do that. i have three two button fobs here. didnt get one with the disco. also i see that there is two orange and black wires have been cut going into the alarm module. oh oh. i see problems ahead. cheers mate.

hi, i have a black alarm module. not the green one, thanks for the link btw. now, i have the key fob and module, green one. both from the same car. i looked over the wires and they seem to be the same colours. can i just snip the wires and swap over the plugs and use the green module.? thanks guys.

hi. no, mine is a manual. a 300 on a m plate. was supposed to have an air bag but its missing, was told it had a,b,s too but nope. stupid e,bay. ill go and get the green box mate, i have the key fob for the green box. thanks for taking the time to help mate.

i was given this box as the module. is this the wrong item?

hi, anyone know where the control box might be on a disco 300tdi. 96. i took the center dash to bits expecting it to be there but nope.any ideas where else they could be put.? also looked behind the glovebox. kick panels. and under the center console. cheers

hi mate, hoses ok, egr is in the bin as off tomorrow. whoo hoo. i havent a clue how to look at the timing or injection pump. i dont think there is air in the lines. bled the system today after doing the lift pump. i dont really notice any smoke. it runs well just lacks power. i was told about a water trap. where is that? i have done the sedimenter. cheers guys.

bringing this back to the top. the list so far is air and fuel filters. cleaned the intercooler and inlet manifold. cleaned the sedimeter. fitted new quality lift pump today, made a little difference. thinking the timing may be out? any ideas guys?

wondering if anyone can shed some light on my problem, i have a disco 300. is very short of power, makes all the right noises but seems really gutless. loses power on the hills too. i have changed the manifold gasket as it was leaking, took out the air filter, not put in a new one yet. changed the fuel filter. cleaned the intercooler out, wasnt bad. need some help, still has all the egr rubbish on but dont think that will cause this. head gasket looks good. does have a whine fron a tensioner bearing though. help. its emmbarassing.

i for one was interested in this tread purely as i am considering donating for the good advice i have been given. i had a look at the funds thread and its great to see the forum is secure for a while. i really dont think anyone thinks funds are being mis handled though. just interested in the workings maybe??

i dont think mine is in here yet either. so here is a front shot..

im going to say all the inlet valves. none of the exhaust ones.

i have the 4x4 r us bumper fitted, really happy with it. have a britpart winch as well. if you want a pic just shout.
