I have a Cebora 150 MIG Welder, >10 years old but still going strong. I was wondering if anyone has any experience on converting a standard MIG welder to a Gasless one? I see that on the dual purpose one you reverse the polarity. Could this be done on any welder? I am thnking of Gasless as a back up for, windy days and when out of gas on a Saturday afternoon.
Cheers

The alternator in my 300Tdi 90 is a bit worse-the-wear. The brushes are shot and the slip rings very worn. If I was to replace it (which I will have to) with a bigger one from a breakers yard (which I would like to, subject to condition) what should I be looking for? Does anything slot straight in? Is anything close?
Thanks

I fitted twin fans off a Peugeot 405 td (£10 from breaker) These are mounted in front of the radiator. I then drilled and tapped the stat housing to accept a 95degC switch. Much neater (and cheaper) than the X-Eng gismo or the Kenlowe 'thing'
I'll try post some pics

IIRC
Series IIb Forward Control
Series III 1 Tonner
127 Rapier
Early 110 H/D
130
All used the 6.5s with the bigger offset
They look great on Series motors, original but purposful.
