  1. Thanks Ralph, I think dedicated wiring is probably the way to go, was just wondering whether it was going to be worthwhile locating the factory wiring and using that through relays for the front screen.
  2. I have done some searches but no joy. My friend has a 97 300tdi pick up. It has a heated windscreen switch to the right of the steering wheel, which when switched on lights the heated screen symbol on the dash panel. The vehicle obviously doesn't have any heated screens currently and he therefore plans to use this switch to control the front heated windscreen rather than purchase a rather expensive loom. We guess that the switch and wiring was fitting when the vehicle was built but we don’t know how much of the loom is there, if it includes a timer, if there is already a space in the fuse box the switch runs to and so on. Is there anyone that has retrofitted a front heated windscreen and use this existing wiring as he wants to or can provide any info on the wiring that we should expect to find?
  3. Looks like a proprietary connector to me Les, you will probably have to make your own extension.
  4. I have one of these on my 110. Straight replacement and dual tone air horns. Pretty loud too!
  5. Hopefully these will be a good seller for land rover as with the new co2 targets that are being set by the eu there will be penalties for companies making gas guzzlers. A 120g co2 vehicle is a step in the right direction in allowing them to also produce some thirsty motors. 2wd is a key point in the low emissions and I imagine the majority will sold without 4wd.
  6. Not long unless you have a problem or have just run it our of fuel
  7. A 2001 will presumably be a TD5 which is a timing chain which is generally ok for the life of the engine.
  8. I have had this before. Seems to come and go. Next time it happens I am going to try changing the MAF again. Ben
  9. The Tax man lets you claim 40p a mile in your own car which is what we get at work, its been the same for at least the last 10 years and isnt very generous in my opionion as fuel has increased by about 50% in the same time. Most companies will define how much you can claim.
  10. I hope to be there. Last year was a laugh. Ben
  11. Slight thread hijack but I want to change my Mach 5's for ideally a 16" Alloy wheel with a similar offset to the Mach 5's. They also need to be weight rated for use on a 110. Does such a thing exist? Ben
  12. Pictures from the day here... in 720P HD too if you change the setting!
  13. Without any boxes the TD5 is a bit on the loud side. . Swapping the middle box for a straight through pipe is a bit less volume and going to be a lot more tollerable on the motorway.
  14. I knackered my Sonim badged JCB phone in the first 12 months, so bought an iPhone and have had that for 18 months now and its still pristine, just buy a couple of cases to suit every occasion. I am going to buy one of those cases Chris linked I think to complete my set. Ben
  15. I have booked mine in to the local 4x4 place for them to have a look as I Cant live with it as it is. Will update the thread when its fixed, even if that means a new 110 Ben
