  4. I have a set of 18" hurricane wheels that could do with a repaint. They are currently done in a chrome effect type paint?? is this available or am i better of just doing them in wheel silver? Ta Paul
  5. Went around all the bushes and linkages today and found no wear.Disconected the bottom of both shockers and rocked the car and the knocking had gone.So i worked both rear shocks through their full stroke to see if there was any notches but didnt find owt wrong .But when i re fitted the bottom of the shocks the rattle has gone Is it possible that because the car has been stood, the shocks have drained and just needed pumping to get the oil circulating??? I think i will still replace them anyway Paul
  6. My 98 range rover has developed a light knocking noise on the rear suspension? at low speed there is an audible rattle from the rear, and if i lay under the car and bump the car up and down i can hear the knock(appears to be both sides?) but cannot see anything loose? could it be an internal knock on the rear shockers?? is this common? Dont think its owt serious but it drives me bonkers Thanks Paul

  12. I agree, maybe Andy and the rest of the TFC organisers(and other events) should make more noise about the charities that benefit.I wonder how many people outside the 4x4 fratenity know about the donations to charity that come from the Scotia landrover club??? Paul

My 90 truckcab with cage and winches loaded up with waffles, spare tyre etc. used to weigh 2250kgs so would be well over on a 3.5t transporter.i seem to remember somebody having a iveco transporter uprated to 5ton but cant remember who it was?.
