I've just fixed my rear heated window according to the instructions here

Just like to say thanks and once I'd seen the wiring it was very straight forward.
Also I've just adjusted my heater flaps to go fully down to get maximum flow out of the windscreen demister according to Ralphs instructions a while back so thanks to you both. I can now see where I'm going by pulling knobs and pressing buttons rather than wiping windows.
You can also find magnets in old class 1 optical equipment like old CD players. They sit either side of the lens. They are quite strong and a few of them would probably be good too.
Mud stuff dont have the switch listen on their site. Got it off X-Eng, i'll contact them. I've got it out by shoving two keys down either side and squeezing it.
The numbers I have are 10 3 2 1 8 7 and 9
I've got a DPDT carling switch but I dont know how to wire it. The X-Eng site is out of date for the switch and I have popped it into its holder and cant get it out so cant read the terminal numbers. Can anyone help?
My local landy engineer uses the crank method if the initial yanking the breaker bar doesn't work. As steve says if it breaks it was probably going to anyway.
My turbo hose from the air filter to turbo need replacing. Can anybody recommend the best replacement if not a genuine one. I'm getting there. Got the silicone hoses on.
Also can someone suggest a good company for hoses that will take heat and are fairly tough? This is for a different application.
Thank you.
Can you take the top off to get at the mesh. I shall have a go at that, possibly with some petrol as thats what i usually use to remove oil related things. Got some driveway gunk too so I could just shove everything through it.
Does it just pull off?
Cheers.
I may end up replacing both sometime later this year anyway as they are both looking pretty corroded. The Lucas is the worst though. The new bulbs are super, I can see so much better at night now and its nice to have some quality side lights too, something else I don't have to worry about now.
Before I replace the air filter I'd like to know how much oil is supposed to come up out of then breather back into the air intake. I'm assuming little to none but there is a bit more than I'm hope for but not a ridiculous mount. Would it be because the mesh inside is blocked. Can the mesh just be replaced or do I need to replace the whole thing?
I notice Allisport do one but it doesn't seem worth it for £80.
Cheers.
If the light on the cluster doesn't come on could it still be just the VSR thats gone. Funny thing is that when I put the multimeter across the connectors on the window it shows a very low voltage but no light comes on on the instrument cluster.
Well just aboot. Due to the fact the drivers side has been replaced with a wipac the lights are slightly different, the pattern is the same but the light seem to be brighter from a higher angle on the wipac. Oh well. Do LR use Lucas or Perei for their headlights? I'm assuming lucas.
