Bowie69
Ah, there is a space at the end of the URL : ย http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222618754516ย Looks nice, original spec, good colour for me, very tidy, and almost a third the price, what's not to like apart from the likely glacial performance? Needsone
What a great forum!! the advice you have all given is sound And taken on board. I would like a "tatty runabout" for country lanes and perhaps light greenlaning?ย The blue cabย in the pic looks lovely, however I really likely the idea of wind in my hair (the stuff I have still attached to the back and sides anyway)! ย
FridgeFreezer
If you're not 100% wedded to a classic motoring experience a used Freelander 1 will haul people and stuff around, do green lanes and be way cheaper, comfier, faster, and more economical. Or an old RR or Disco will do everything whilst still going reassuringly rusty. I'd also take the opportunity to remind you that a 109 has way more space and rides better than an 88, often cheaper to buy too.
Bowie69
Compare that blue one to this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Landrover-series-3/263176410007?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D56bf7ab0babb41d0bfdb9ac27478c3f3%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D222618754516&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 There are definitely some chancers out there
