CJ1
The Freelander is at it again, confusing the hell out of me with the internet giving me mixed information. I would like to change the fuel filter on my 2001 1.8 petrol freelander, But the only fuel filter I can find online states for up to 1999 models only. Does my car have a fuel filter? If so, please could someone give me the part number please? Thank you
FridgeFreezer
There's one inside the in-tank fuel pump, it can be replaced but it's not an easy job and you risk breaking an expensive pump.
Bowie69
Can't see any filter other than the one Fridge mentions - WFL100160. It sits inside the fuel basket in the tank. If you went for a blue box (shudder), you could get one for a whole £2.09! https://www.lrdirect.com/WFL100160-Fuel-Filter-Freelander-Petrol-In/
CJ1
Thank you. I don’t fancy risking it, I had assumed it would be external like most cars. I will run some wynns or redex through the system instem instead. Thank you for your help and advice.
